I bought this to be a contrasting color vest to my two-piece charcoal glen plaid suit that has a single red-maroon thread at the end of each section in the plaid. I wore this for my son's wedding, where both my sons (the groom and the best man) and the groomsmen wore a slightly lighter but similar glen plaid in three piece suits. And it looked stunning under the jacket and over a nice white shirt and maroon tie. I am a big guy who usually wears a 50-52 chest jacket or vest so I ordered the 2xL size as per the fit chart. The 2xL I recieved was way too tight, so I re-ordered the 3xL which was a better fit but still a bit snug about the mid section, especially when I sit down. A second (? third) look at the description shows that it is a "trim" fit, which would explain the midsection issues, as I am anything but trim.It is well made in mod-weight cotton poly fabric with just enough weight to it to keep its shape without starch or developing excessive creases as the day wore on into the night. The slightly darker than fire-engine red background has a subtle greyish windowpane check about 1/2-3/4 inch in size. This could look good in both dress and relaxed dress situations as well as in fairly casual dress with jeans and an open collar shirt in contrasting color.

I normally wear a size large in vests, especially slim fit. I purchased a medium because of the size chart and it was too small. so I purchased a large and it was too big. The chart says a medium has a 41 chest and a 38.5 waist???? who is this for? I can tell you that the medium did not have a 38.5 waist or 41 chest. more like a possibly 32 waist and maybe a 39-40 chest. The large has approx. 44 chest and 41.3 waist. Not exactly SLIM fit. A person must be shaped like a barrel for this to fit correctly. Medium fits like an odd shaped small and the large fits like a odd shaped XLarge. Very disappointed Someone needs too verify the sizes. wasted my time. both are going back.

I love this grey vest so much that I'm buying another one in brown because I have dress brown pants and dress gray pants. I'm 6' tall and thin built (my friends say I'm skinny) and I ordered a large. It fits absolutely perfect. They run smaller so order one size larger than the size of the shirt you would wear. I'm a medium so the large is perfect. I feel like an executive but I'm only a stage speaker.

This is a very nice vest! I own over 20 vest and this is one of the nicest. It's good looking, appears to be high quality and can be worn for casual, work or formal events.

Very pleased with this item, the fit is good. Im very large in the upper body but, have a small waist and when i order XXL, the waist too loose. As if made for a beer-belly. The XL is a better fit, a little tight in the chest. Very good quality. I was a little disappointed that the color is a little lighter than I wanted but, I can't really call that a knock because I will make it work.😊 I would purchase again.

Sizing is wrong. Large is too big. I usually wear a large in slim fit. Even pulled tight this vest was still loose. I've got a very toned 43 inch chest. This vest SHOULD have been tight in the chest and a little loose in the waist pulled all the way. Instead, it was huge in the waist and still loose in the chest.

Good quality material; better than I expected.
