There are two dog food brand I feel confident feeing my babies and this is one of them. I have fed other lines of kibble within this brand such as the “Ideal Digestion” food and my dogs love it. I am surprised my dogs both loved the “Low Fat Formula” as much as they did. This food is not only great if you have a small, pancreatitis prone dog- it’s also great for dogs with poultry allergies as my one dog has. Freeze dried raw dog food is too high in protein for a smaller dog and lead to problems with diarrhea, weight gain and gas. This food isn’t overly high in protein or fat which is great. I recommend giving this brand a try.

My Toby loves this, good quality food. Great for pancreatitis prone dogs, being low fat. Full of good ingredients that are effective in keeping my good boy wagging with joy.

Good for pug with pancreatitis history. Nice to get Rx level food without the Rx from a vet. It's still just as expensive but works well. Also helped my dogs coats and allergies. Poodle also eats it even though he doesn't need too and he's doing well on it too. Helps pug with weight and poop is small and solid.

My dog has a sensitive stomach and tends to struggle with higher-fat foods, so I decided to give this a try. The low-fat, whitefish formula has worked wonderfully—no digestive issues and he actually enjoys the taste, which hasn’t always been the case with special diet foods. It’s highly digestible, the ingredients seem clean, and I feel confident feeding this long-term. Definitely worth it if your pup needs a gentle, vet-formulated diet.

After doing numerous internet searches trying to find an alternative dog food that was low in fat (I was purchasing a name brand that I had a prescription for but it was getting difficult to get), I found SquarePet. I liked that it was very low in fat and I didn't need to bother my vet again for another written prescription. As others have mentioned, it seems like some dogs like the taste and some dogs don't. My dog ate a bowl just as dry kibble but then wouldn't eat it. I had to mix it with low fat cottage cheese and he ate it. He did eat the plain dog food 2 more times but would eat it on a regular basis if mixed with the low fat cottage cheese. I started with purchasing the smaller quantity bag just in case he didn't like it at all as I didn't want to buy a huge bag for nothing. If you're thinking about buying this dog food I would suggest starting off with the small bag then if your dog likes it you can save some money and purchase the larger bag. It is a good low fat dog food.

Our older dog has developed a strong allergy to chicken, and also can’t tolerate much fat, so we switched to this. She loves it and has been eating it for over a year. Her gut health is finally under control, she is the perfect weight and the fatty lumps on her sides have slowed down considerably. Very happy with this product.

I was using a prescription food for my dogs after one of my dogs got pancreatitis So I was leery about trying something else, but the prescription dog food was quite expensive. It's been at least a month now that they've been eating this new food and everything has been working perfectly and I believe it has helped their digestive systems and help them with going potty much easier. So I will be purchasing this again as I need it. We're all very happy with it!!!

Bought for my 2.5 schnauzers since the half schnauzer had pancreatitis. They love it. No problem eating it. They definitely lose weight on this so keep an eye out.
