Worth it
I like the story. The translation is ok. I just really wish there was a way to translate in a way that wasn't so sterile. It takes a bit of work to continue the translation in my head to try to give it the depth that the author intended. And its because its obvious it was probably amazing in the original writing that makes the extra effort worth it.

Excellent series
If you enjoy cultivation novels, this is an excellent choice. The book has many of the key elements such as an appealing main character, good story, interesting techniques/powers, sects, ascension, and other elements. Power progression is real, but does not overwhelm the story. As an additional plus, the series is mostly free of the worst tropes of cultivation novels such as "everybody" trying to rob/kill the MC for the slightest inconvenience, constantly repeating story arcs (and the hero goes into yet another secret realm based on a contest....) or incomprehensible economics.Very mild harem theme.

Liked it
Fast paced page turner with interesting characters that you can instantly root for. I will at least get book two. I haven't decided if I will go passed that. It's just a typical cultivation book

Pretty good read this time
Ah, it's nice to finish quests. Zen is pretty well behaved this time and now he has some new things to do. The translation/editing this time is very good. On to the next book. Ignore the silly people complaining about KU. From a comment on one review it takes them about a week to go from just sales to KU. I try to give them time to get a few new books before reading. These are released at a quick cadence.

Good start to a xianxia cultivation series
I thought this first book was a good start to a cultivation series. I am looking forward to seeing what kind of specialty Zen will have in his cultivation

Reccomended
I would recommend that the author get someone whose primary language is English to review all the books published by mobo reader that are written by a Chinese author. There are many places that really make no sense because of the way these have been translated. Otherwise a very good series.

A much better book
Less advertising this time and better translation. I have liked this story since book 1. If a really good editor and translator were to go back, edit the books, take out all the ads, and split the books at proper stopping places then this could probably become a best selling series.

Good story, except for the advertising.
The story is very captivating and I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes this genre. However the constant advertisement at the end of each chapter is annoying and ruins the impressive aspect of the story, especially since there is more advertisement at the end of the book. Would have given 5 stars otherwise.

Book not too bad BUT every three chapters it says leave feedback on mobonet. Firstly I paid for the book and they are hustling me for reviews before I have even finished the first volume in the series. Secondly was so angry I tried to leave feedback on website: (a) they couldn't find the book and (b) couldn't find a way leave any feedback easily
This leads me to the conclusion all mobonet wants is to hassle the readers into giving fake news reviews and not interested in actually providing a service that people will want to use. Really put off mobo/mobonet. So far it is crass, insulting and greedy. I'll stick to kindle at least with them they ask for the review after I have read the book and at least they listen to feedback.

Very good
The translation and grammar are a step up here, the story starts quite well, but suffers immediately, from the ‘i,m nobody’ M/char. To the (oops i,m actually so powerful I can kill people) syndrome. However thats not new, overall its a 9/10 - well worth reading.

Great Read
Written well. Good editing. Interesting, slightly different take in the usual storyline in these cultivation novels. Definitely will read next books in series.

Decent
The story isn't bad and the translation is quite good, plus the MC comes across well. I'm willing to give book two a try.Unlimited = unverified
