LAVA SPORT Balance Bike - Ultra Lightweight Aluminum - for Toddlers and Kids 2, 3, 4 Year Old (Fuji Blue)

Excellent bike! Previously had a £200 first bike for my firstborn which we cant access right now, but my 18 month old desperately wanted to ride a bike with his brother and I couldn't afford to buy the same one again. My criteria was lightweight, ergonomic saddle for ease of staying on the bike and nice design. This fits the bill! I put it together with my 4 year old quite quickly. It is SO light, I won't mind when I inevitably have to carry it home! I wouldn't spend £200 again, knowing that this is available and equally suitable. However, the only way it could be better is rubber tyres - that said, these wont need much maintenance and I suspect rubber tyres would increase the weight. So overall I am very happy. Great price, great quality, AMAZING colour in blue, and perfect starting fit for my 18 month old. He already loves it!

Would of been 5 stars but............Delivery was not a problem, quick and easy.Opened the box looked at everything and it was all there. Or so we thought. ....As we pulled each part of out of the box to put together, everything was going together quick and easy, but upon putting the last wheel on we noticed an important thing missing the wheel came with no washer or bolt, checked all packaging the box the floor etc no where to be seen.Not helpful at all when you have an excited 2 year old on a Sunday afternoon wanting his new bike and unable to go and buy a spare one as all the shops had shut.Other then the missing part, it was easy to put together. Really nice colour and lightweight. Just not wheel on.....

Received this item within three days of placing the order. It arrived via courier in a box in 5 separate pieces that were easy to assemble with some very simple assembly instructions. All parts in the box are numbered to match the drawings and instruction steps. All tools required to assemble are provided in the box.Once assembled the bike is very vey light weight and simple to carry home (by hand upside down) about when my daughter gets bored at the park.The aluminium frame looks very well constructed and the metallic paintwork (blue in our case) really stands out.Will be buying another for my nephew when he is a little bigger.The seat adjustment is limited at first by the plastic plug on the underside of the seat tube but if that is removed the seat drops a lot further.Very nice first bike.

I rarely give feedback or write reviews but the service I got from Lava was outstanding and needed to be shared!I received the BB on Saturday and I had a problem with the bearings fitting onto the fork stem.Emailed Lava on Sunday and 20 minutes later I received a reply which I wasn’t expecting to see so quickly and issue was resolved as they sent me out replacement fork & bearings which they pre-fitted to the fork stem. The replacement parts arrived on the Wednesday.My 2.5 year old boy loves the bike and for £40 including prime delivery I can’t fault it. It is light as a feather so when he does abandon it, it is not a problem to carry.With bearings that fit, it is very easy and quick to assemble.Oh, love the colour too! (Fuji Blue).It is cheap and cheerful and that is all it needs to be for his or hers 1st bike. He absolutely loves it which is great as it saves me an additional £100 if I had went with my preferred bike manufacturer! :-)

Amazingly light, its unreal no problem carrying this when legs get tired. So simple to assemble and sturdy once complete.My 3.5 year old has the seat on the middle setting so plenty room for adjustment both ways.Paint finish and welds all great standard. Hand grips are great with protectors.Wheels are not pneumatic but that's great as they will last a long time.

All good on this one, apart from the seat tube and the full tyres: no grip, no shock absorption, no rotating mass to help with balance. I should have never bough a bike with such tyres. Shame, because the rest of the bike is actually nice!A thing to note is that if the saddle tube is dropped low, it stick out underneath the frame; it is sort of sharp and an exposed hollow tubes can be very dangerous as they can perforate (like bars with not bar ends on mountain bike for example).

Excellent little bike for toddlers - super lightweight and easy to assemble. The reason I gave it 4 star is down to a single fault - the bottom of the seat post doesn’t have a protective cap so if you have it in the lowest position the seat post is exposed and can easily be caught on the child’s leg. I emailed them about this and they said they will include a protective bung In the future. I managed to make my own rubber sleeve. Other than that we are very pleased - excellent product

The balance bike arrived promptly. The assembly instructions are clear and the bike is easy to put together with the tools provided. It is very lightweight and looks very smart except for the somewhat clumsy welding on the frame itself. Not a great problem, but it could have been tidied up before painting the bike.
