I bought these to connect things to a power strip. Power strips always seem to have their plugs too close together, especially when there's a transformer that plugs directly into the socket. These work great for that. They also work well for cords that are a bit too short. Maybe it's just me, but I have several cords in my home which were just a little too short. My only problem is that I've now used up all six. Go figure! :-)16AWG is thick enough to use on large appliances like refrigerators, and portable heaters, too. These are as well made as you could ask for, and at a great price. There are lots of 18AWG cords for sale, but those aren't durable enough to use everywhere. If you notice your extension cord getting warm, that's a sign the cord isn't thick enough, and should be replaced. I remember back when my dad melted and set fire to what was supposed to be a heavy-duty extension cord when using his table saw. Every year, 500 people die from electrical fires in homes. If you'd like to join that statistic, be sure to scrip rather than buying thick, quality cords like these.

This product was as advertised, priced well and delivered on time in reasonable packaging. My purchase primarily was to serve a couple of purposes. As many know, power strips and UPS units often have sockets reasonably set apart unless you have larger power supplies for electronics plugged in. Often, one cannot use all of the sockets on the strip or UPS unit. These type of cables are very helpful. Plug one end into the strip and the power supply into the other and if the fit is snug enough, you are set to go.I have 4 of these in use with power supplies and by odd circumstance needed about 10" of additional power cord to reach a socket for an item that had to be in a certain location. This cable worked perfectly. I now have one spare which is great.These extension cords are durable, heavy-duty and well-made. While I am sure there are others that are more premium, but the price quality durabily combination of this item makes it a great buy and I expect years of use.I would get these again and recommend them.

I'll bet that got headline got your attention. Well, if must have if you're reading this, so on to the review.I constantly (maybe you do too) run into challenges plugging things (like AC adaptors) into a power strip and when I stumbled onto these a few months ago I've ordered them twice!They take the issues out of the "AC adaptor blocks receptacle" and makes it easier to plug / unplug an item as you can grab the cord, instead of the power strip.I especially like that I can plug these into the back of my UPS and they're just long enough to allow me to plug in my network gear to them without having to climb behind or pull out the UPS.To be clear, these may not suit your needs, but if you're running into the issue I mentioned and / or would like to be able to plug / unplug a tad easier these are great.They're heavy duty and I've had ZERO issues with them over the last several months.

From an electrical standpoint, there's only a few things pigtails like this need to accomplish:1. Solid jacket construction2. Well-insulated3. Plugs securely mate to sockets4. They carry electricity from point to point without signal lossLuckily, these meet all the criteria. 16-gauge wiring is robust, but not unwieldy. Just keep in mind that these do have a minimum bend radius, so you're not going to be able to fold these like you would most pack-in power cables. That being said, these have just enough give to work with all the wall warts I need to mate to a power strip underneath my desk and still stay inside its cable raceway (it's still a tight fit).I do wish, however, that Cable Matters had gone without their adhesive labels or at least chosen an adhesive that didn't leave as much residue behind as it does once the label has been cut. A quick wipe with some isopropyl alcohol will make quick work of that, but it's one extra step I wish I didn't have to do (especially since IPA is in short supply during COVID-19). This is a minor grievance, though.In short, I'm more than happy with the quality of what Cable Matters has built here and will most likely be ordering another set to use for my home theater setup. Wholeheartedly recommend.

I hate fat plugs that hide the other outlets. These extension cords are the perfect size to fix this issue.

I use these short cords when I have a charger or power block that needs to plug into a limited space outlet.

This a review of the 1-foot version that comes in 6 to a pack.If you have a lot of electronics that you want to plug into a power strip or UPS box these little extension cords come in very handy! Where the large adapters might block surrounding outlets on your power strip all you have to do is use one of these to extend the outlet so you can power anything you want without having blocked ports. The cords seem to be very well made and are priced pretty fairly for the quality of the cable.
