Safety First Boys & Girls! Stay Informed, Stay Safe!
Maybe its just me, but I think they are getting a little reckless with the marketing on UV sanitizers. These use UV-C light at a wavelength of around 253 nm. This does effectively sanitize and does meet fda regs, but there is a concerning lack of safety protocol here. UV-C disrupts the DNA of organisms, thats how it sanitizer, you and your children are also organisms with DNA. This is why they have an auto shutdown after like 10 minutes, as not to destroy your skin and eye cells in the event of continuous exposure. Yes, they are regulated to be safe by the fda, but the fda has also had to go back and re-regulate products due to later research. I'm not saying they shouldn't sell them, just be bluntly honest about the safety of what your selling. Any child can walk into a pharmacy and buy one of these at self checkout, no questions asked. Please do not give these to children. You can call me crazy, but if/when a time comes when the pandemic has passed, and all of sudden there's a class action from 87 people with skin cancer and impaired vision, and they've been breathing in ozone for years and didn't even know it, because no one realized that uv-c can break down the chemical bonds in plastics, rubbers and other materials that mechanical housings are made of, and thus gradually exposing you more over time as you've been using the same uv lamp you bought at the beginning of the pandemic because they are expensive and you didn't wanna spend more money on a newer one, and you didn't think it was a big deal because the plastic is supposed to be uv resistant, but didn't realize that statement doesn't apply to uv-c, as they only have to be resistant to uv-b (think red heat lamp for a pet snake) in order for a manufacturer to represent a product as uv-resistant.Not a conspiracy theory, just a safety warning because i wouldn't let anybody give my kid a uv-c lamp. Be more responsible marketing folk, its the least you can do, big ol' warning label that says do not use other than intended, do not try and take apart, do not try to look through it, because its uv-c, not uv-a like a black light, which is fun, this is a flashlight that breaks down organic matter on a genetic level, works and useful, and can be safe, but don't make this a fun for the whole family thing. C'mon, you should know better, and if you don't, someone should stop you until you do. Its not a toy bra! Not everybody knows the difference between ultraviolet light types, and their education may be on them, but if your selling it to them, make sure they understand what they are buying, and though you believe any negative effects are unlikely, and you've made a safe-ish version, it is still dangerous light.(I mean, anything you buy that has to auto shutdown after only 10 minutes of use screams red flag of danger)Love ya, bye!

This item didn’t work!
I was excited to get this item because of its portable size and the good reviews I’ve read. Imagine my severe disappointment when I received it: it didn’t illuminate! I followed the pre-use instructions to the letter and after charging it to its instructed 2 hours, the lamp didn’t illuminate. It was packed quite well without any signs of damage. It just won’t turn on. The charging light was on while it was charging and it emitted a beep once it was done but after I pressed the ON button for 3 seconds, the lamp still remained dark.
