Alright, so these little fellas work great on walls and ceilings to hang the lights. They are not painfully obvious like some other products sold to hang LED strips, look good and holding power is excellent. This is another product that I will continue to purchase now that I have tested them. I have customers where they like this type of look for their IT projects we do, and for home use, they excel. We hung lights in our bedroom, where the LEDs were on the ceiling and the wall, depending on location. All locations are holding very well, even though they are spaced out pretty good. The reason for the "Easy to Use" being 4 stars is that they are kind of a PITA to open back up again. Won't stop me from continuing to buy them though - just be aware and I wouldn't use them in temporary locations.

These little mounting clips were 100 times easier to use than the little stickers and screws provided with my LED light strip order. We used about 70 clips for 48 feet of lights. About 5 or 6 of the adhesive gels peeled off the clips with the red backing, making them useless. Once I saw what happened I was able to scrape the edge of the gels to loosen them from the backing with my fingernails if they stuck, but my teenage son who bites his nails couldn't do it because his nails are too short. The clips snap closed and can be reopened as well with a little work. These were useable right up to the corners of the room, which made the application look great and even. They are clear plastic and are totally invisible on the white, teal AND black walls in my son's room, which lends to a great finished appearance. We put up the LED lights tonight, so I'll have to give an update on how well the adhesive lasts, but it stuck VERY firmly almost every time, except where the wall was still damp from cleaning with rubbing alcohol and in the corner that my son didn't wipe clean beforehand. In one spot my son pulled the clip straight off the wall because he attached it off-center and it took off the paint (see picture). Overall, compared to the headaches and high levels of failure people experience when using the adhesives that come with their LEDs, I am very pleased with purchasing this item.

Worked well for hanging 10mm (standard) non-waterproof LED strips. The adhesive is strong enough it will probably take paint off the wall when removed.

Good lights. Like the clips. Made for an easy one person install.

Works well. I spaced them 12-18" apart on the top of my painted wall, excluding corners where they're placed 1" - 2" from each end of the corner. In an effort to make them removable, I purchased a 64 pack of command strips on Amazon ($10) and put those up first and then mounted these to the command strips. I believe this will work to keep paint from coming off on removal, but won't know for a few years. I didn't test first. I'm using them for the Goove RGBIC led light strip with the epoxy coating/protection. Keep them unclipped and pull the light strip tight before clipping down. They are a tad difficult to unclip once up (but doable). I've had them up for a couple weeks with no issues. Make sure to let them sit on the wall for 24 hours BEFORE adding the light strips. I think too many people skip this step and then they will fall from not adhering.

I love LEDs everywhere and the strips rarely stick for long. These are perfect they lock in place and have a groove built in shaped for the rounded LED strips my whole set up is not falling off with these they come with super high quality 3m gel tape backing.
