Works as expected! My seedlings are already popping up in less than a week. It doesn’t automatically shut off or have a timer so I just unplug it at night. It doesn’t get too hot but I do have it on an area made of wood.

This worked great with some older bell pepper seeds that wouldn't sprout no matter what I tried! I used the last of the seeds and 7 out of 10 sprouted and are growing well in my greenhouse, waiting for spring.

I saw other people using these mats for their sourdough starter, so I got one. It’s way too warm to be using it for a sourdough starter. I already chucked the box or I would return it since I don’t need it for anything else.

My pepper seedlings love this mat, definitely seems to give them a boost. Gets warm but not too hot.

I actually use this heat mat for my kefir and sourdough starter, and it’s amazing! Keeps a consistent gentle warmth, which helps my ferments stay active even when my kitchen gets cold. My starter bubbles faster and my kefir thickens beautifully overnight. Easy to wipe clean and the low, steady heat makes it foolproof for small fermentation projects. Total game changer!

Initially this worked well. It’s a pretty good price and holds itself at the proper temperature for sprouting plants. However…it went bad after a couple years, stopped heating. It is waterproof, so that’s nice.

Because I keep my interior house temperature on the cool side, I use this seed warming mat to help raw dough rise in bread making. Despite it's inexpensive cost and the fact that there's no temperature control, it works perfectly. I plug it in to let it warm up while I mix up the ingredients. Then when the dough is ready for proofing (i.e., left to rest and increase in size), I cover the bowl with plastic wrap, sit the bowl on the waring mat, and then drape a dish towel over the entire bowl to make a tent to entrap the heat. The mat appears to hold the temperature inside the tented bowl to between 70=80 degrees. This results in a perfect rise, usually in the time prescribed by the recipe.

I was surprised that this item came from USA. It had USA plug and not useable in UK. I tried using it using a plug converter. Within 30 mins it become hot to touch and not a good thing to do. You really need a voltage converter as USA uses 110 voltage which is different from UK. I returned it.

My country domestic voltage 220 volt but I received 120 volt. How can use?

If buying from the UK be aware that this has a US plug and is 110v so can't be used in the UK without a transformer.
