3 Day Guide to Florence: A 72-hour Definitive Guide on What to See, Eat and Enjoy in Florence, Italy: Volume 15 (3 Day Travel Guides) : 3 Day City Guides: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: A great guide for anybody who does not know Florence. - information easy to digest Review: A good, but slightly dated guide and more suited to those travelling from America - Perhaps most useful if you're coming from America as most information pertained to that. A little dated as many of the museums have had a shuffle round. Some tickets no longer available separately and the new bundles can prove costly. Otherwise a good guide for those with little time who want to see a tourist's Florence, but do read around or you will miss some priceless gems.

Untested
Nice guide book but have not yet been to Florence so can't confirm how good it is as a guide.

Out of date poor guide book
The front cover of the book disguises the photocopied pages underneath. The content is outdated - states this will reopen in 2015!!!! 10 years out of date!!!! The guide gives very little outline of the places to visit. But it does say when to get your lunch or have a break!! I bought a DK guide to Venice for the same price - had three maps, coloured glossy pictures, complete guides to each top attraction. DO NOTBUY THIS BOOK.

don't know
Aimed at American market, but quite informative nevertheless

The most useless guidebook I have ever had.
This book was described as 'The Definitive Guide' for 72 hours in Florence but it is completely lacking in detail on any of the top sites e.g. the top site, the Duomo, is allotted just one line which certainly will not help one to appreciate all that it contains. There are no maps at all. It is written in large print spaced out on small pages so does not have room for proper information. The tone is enthusiastic but shallow.

Needs to have more if you rely on it for a visit
Very descriptive, but not enough pictures & no map

Thin!
I'm afraid there's very, very little in it: the equivalent of just a few very small pages of information that could be printed off the internet.14 if its 67 small, large print pages just cover climate and getting around! To give an idea of how little is in it, the 'conclusion' covers 2 whole pages but is a picture of an ice cream and 170 words! aLS
