Don't expect much!
After drilling a pilot hole I started to use these to drill four 1/2" in 1/8th flat bar, never got up to 1/2" before all three gave up. They say you get what you pay for, but in this case they were not cheap and I sure didn't get what I paid for

Modest value for the money.
While the product seemed to be well enough built in terms of strength, the cutting edges were very roughly milled and did not allow for smooth cutting through material. Packaged conveniently in a pouch for protection, a good feature. Definitely not precision boring tools, but probably adequate value for general purposes. Longevity to be determined.

These step drill bits are a good value for the price
These step drill bits are a good value for the price. They come in one plastic bag but they weren't chipped at all. The spiral flute makes them aggressive when drilling. If not using a drill press be sure to brace the drill well because it will want to torque you and pull into the material. Other reviews mentioned that and they're not joking. But if you brace yourself well and drill in short bursts, preferably using cutting oil when drilling metals of course, you can cut pretty good holes. As usual with step drill bits if the material is not thin (under 1.5mm thick) the whole won't have a smooth vertical surface, you'll see a step. That's to be expected though so don't be surprised.

Good for sheet metal
About the same as what you would get at Harbor freight. Good for light guage sheet metal. Better than spending 40-60 on one at home depot if you dont need a heavy duty one. Plus fits in impact

Great for the price.
First off all 3 bits do cut an they do deburr as it cuts. the spiral design is better then the standard design. BUT. The Titanium coating is to thin. After just 1 use most of the coating was warn off. They may not last as long as other bits but because they cut better I may consider ordering again.Update. Have had bits for several weeks now. I use them a few times a week. They seem to be of same quality or better as some $25 step bit sets I have used. I will definitely order again.

Not strong enough for steel
Nice idea, but drilled and drilled on a thin steel hole I wanted slightly larger and little happened. I didn't expect it to work beyond sheet steel, but it didn't work on that either.

It appear to be a good quality product
These will definitely serves the purpose for our upcoming projects this Summer. It appear to be a good quality product, sharp and it makes neat and clean holes. This set comes in a small carrying case for safe keeping. Drill bits are on metric sizes which is what my husband is looking for. We are pleased with this purchased so far! For the price, you can’t beat the value.

Works great
Step drills for larger holes works great. I use in aluminum. Cheaper than buying individual drill bits. Hobby use only at this time. But seem to cut fine in aluminum.

Ottime per il prezzo.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

Don’t believe the picture it does not have
I’m currently building an rc truck and I have 11mm bearings, not having an 11mm drill. I bought these as the picture shows the small drill bit having 11mm on it. It came the next day and to my surprise it does not have 11mm drill I have to choose 10mm or 12mm so not happy at all. I could of got this set for half price from China but I wanted it quick. The smallest drill bit goes 4,6,8,10,12. Not 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 as advertised. So I will return it.

Ideal for one off project and DIY
This drill bits are cheap for a reason, the quality is terrible but saying that, if you have one off job this will do it easily.Be aware that you need a normal HSS drill bit to pre-drill pilot hole as this drill bit will not start without the pilot hole, its simply too blunt.I bought it only because I needed it next day, and it did the job fine.If you can't justify buying high quality step drill bit, this is perfect.Few words of advice, other drill bits sold with the price tag up to £30 will NOT be better quality, just to make it clear. You be better off buying this set then set for £25 as the quality will be the same. For quality drill bit set you need to fork out about £35 or more per drill bit or £90 for a set of 3.

Good value spiral flute design
Delivery was very fast and the bits were well packaged. So far i've only used these on mild steel sheet up to 1.2mm. The cuts are fast enough and transition from step to step is smooth and controllable leaving reasonably burr free edges. A useful and inexpensive addition to any drill box!

Blunt upon arrival
Blunter than a butter knife but it got the job eventually. My task was to make several 6mm holes through two layers of metal. 1mm AI and then 2mm of a soft alloy of carbon and iron. 5 minutes per hole might not seem like the world has just ended but hey bhoy then shoulders don'e like.
