A Very wise Idea.

Use these a lot to build custom harnesses for amp build, computer builds, scanner builds. These have nice pre-build and crimped leads that can be cut and spliced to make longer harnesses. Would buy these again without question.

The kit is well made kit with top quality materials. The components are specifically designed for interconnecting different PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) using 0.1" pin pitch (2.54mm) connectors. It is important for potential customers to understand what they are getting into (see below). The male should be soldered onto the PCB. Two PCB's can be interconnected by a ribbon cable terminated with two female connectors. In this case you would need the crimping tool to crimp the cable and female connectors. This is not desirable for a hobbyist like me. The kit uses individual wires with crimped female pins as a solution which is a perfect solution for me. The #22 wire is stranded with 40 individual wires which is rare (I have not come across affordable wires as a hobbyist). Solderability is excellent which is important to me. The wires were sometimes shorter than I needed so I had to solder/bridge them with heat shrink tubing to protect the junctions. I just completed a preamp with an IR remote volume control kit with this. Extremely happy with the connector kit.

I don't really know how to rate these. They seem fine, they snap together well and they seem solid -- but they're all female connectors. This kit is for making double ended cables that connect the male receptacle on one board to the male receptacle on another board. It's exactly what I need! Except... this doesn't come with any male receptacles, and there doesn't seem to be any place I can buy just the other end. i feel like I'm taking crazy pills, because it stands to reason that for every female plug, there must be a corresponding male receptacle, right? But where are they? If I buy the *other* kit, the one with both male and female housings, then I'll be able to make cables and plug boards together... but I'll end up with a ton of extra female housings and a bunch of wires pre-crimped on one end that I can't use. I think the solution is for the company to sell a box of just receptacles in the identical quantity.

If you’re still using those cheap, flimsy breadboard jumper wires, this kit will seriously upgrade your workflow. I use these connectors all the time for building quick prototypes, and they’ve made things so much faster and more reliable. Though I do wish it came with more red and black wires (those run out first for me), it’s still absolutely worth the buy. Honestly, I don’t know how I worked without these before. If you prototype regularly, this kit is a must have.

Useful, good quality

I was in the middle of upgrading the bluetooth modules on a robotic car when I realized I did not have any good, reliable connectors. I tried the wire connectors one would use on a prototyping board, but they proved unreliable & inconvenient to use. I did a lot of searching & stumbled into these Elechawk connectors. What got my attention was their picture of a LiPo battery and pointing out the plug compatibility with balance connector. Given I have several three cell LiPo batteries I could check the physical compatibility in a couple of minutes; turns out that is exactly what I needed! This is the first time I've used an Elechawk product & I'm quite happy with how they worked out. The supplied wire is crimped so they can easily be attached to the female connectors. I will be soldering the male connector to the circuit board & expect a solid connection. Highly recommend.
