Sabian16" B8X Thin Crash

The media could not be loaded.  The packaging needs to be improved on Amazon’s end. I received the cymbal wrapped in manufacturer plastic, however nothing else in the box for cushion. The cymbal was inverted. This line of Sabian in my opinion has a sustained ‘drone like’ ring to it on the finish. In my opinion this is better suited for beginners or for kids that want to just thrash around on the drum kit. I plan to return this item.

The Cymbal received is totally different to the one shown on the website.The received Cymbal does not have any SABIAN marking on the top surface of the cymbal. Only BX8 marking is there on top of the cymbal. This does not sound as good, as may be the genuine SABIAN BX8 shown on the website. People have highest expectations from none other than AMAZON.COM, burt even AMAZON.com can ditch its customers, albeit occasionally by dispatching counterfeit stuff to them. I feel dejected after getting ditched by this leading e-commerce website. I can shre the photo of the received Cymbal as well. It sounds DUD. photo shows the cymbal with the "old" Sabian logo....which is what I wanted. The cymbal I received had the "new" Sabian logo which looks like it was designed by a 4th grader.

Crisp sound but the sustain is far less than what it belts it says it can do it should be more like a splash than a crash

I was looking for a crash cymbal that had a lighter sound, and not need to be hit quite as hard, for small venues. I'm using this with my Gretsch Catalina Club Street kit, and this worked out great for that.

Beautiful sound, crisp, clean, quick attack, fast decay. If you're a drummer you'll know exactly what I mean. I really like Sabian cymbals. I will be buying more in the future. It compliments my Z crash

Pretty decent crash given the price range. Quick decay, also cuts through sonically.

I personally found the attack to be very unsatisfying and the cymbal had way too much sustain. In a crash cymbal, I'm looking for a crunchy "tss" to add color on my turnovers and buildup. The ringy, tinny sound sounds more like a ride, but a bad ride at that.I will return and spend some money for higher quality sound.

Good value. Bit heavy, so sound isn’t as bright as AA or HH line, but good value for the money

It was a gift for a friend, she chose it herself, and said it was exactly what she needed after she tried it.
