Helps relieve pain. Great cushion. Have recommended to family and friends.
If you have ischial bursitis and it hurts to sit down in anything hard this is the cushion for you. I even use it in the car. It is great that the front edge is tapered, it keeps pressure off the legs besides your back/bottom side. It is made great. Easy to carry with the soft handle. I take it everywhere. I have more than one. I sit on one at my table when eating.

Worth the price
This cushion is surprisingly comfortable: padding is just the right amount for me, stays in place on the chair and does not need readjusting, there is a handle if I want to move it to another chair, and it encourages me to keep my back straight while I work at my computer. It quite successfully keeps pressure off my coccyx which I broke many years ago.

A little too thick
I needed a seat cushion for my car and decided to try this one. It is very supportive and comfortable! Unfortunately, it was a bit too high for me to use in my car. My head was too close to the roof. I had to return it and order a flat gel cushion instead. But if you are looking for something to use in the house, or maybe in a wheelchair, consider giving this one a try!

A lifesaver. Better than anything else I tried.
I've been dealing with ischial bursitis for some time now. According to my doctor and physical therapist, if you're lucky and there's a repetitive motion that you can stop doing (like bike riding), then it still might take a month to resolve.I'm unlucky- I think mine started when I slammed down on the hard seat of a roller coaster (and no, there was no "bone bruise," just the bursitis on imaging), and since then I don't have any easily reversible habits to stop--I'm not particularly sedentary, and I haven't had any repetitive lower extremity motions or sports that I can avoid, but my pain was still been pretty constant for a few months despite PT, meds, injections, etc. According to the PT, it's because sitting on it, lying on it, moving it with walking (you know, the normal things I do just EXISTING) are aggravating it, and if it didn't get better I might be looking at a surgical bursectomy.PT recommended this type of cushion, but all the quality ones I initially found were about a hundred bucks; simple pillow types (non memory foam, poor construction) were cheaper but didn't make any more of a difference than just using a pillow off my bed. Then I found this one- it's pretty much the same design and construction as those expensive ones, for the price of one of those simpler pillowy types. It almost seemed too good to be true, but I ordered it.It is an absolute game changer. After only a couple of days of offloading the bursa at work, the dinner table, in the car, etc (it's lightweight and has a carry strap, so it's easy to take wherever I am), I'm essentially pain free in the bursa this morning.I was still sore lying on it last night in bed (due to the design of the cushion, you really can't put it under you to sleep without arching your back significantly), but even that was a lot better, and for the first time I've got some hope that I can kick this thing (current plan is to use it for at least a couple of weeks of being pain-free, and then to still use it on long car rides, etc as a prevention) without surgery.I've only had it a few days, so take any assessment of durability with a grain of salt, but it seems to have high quality materials and construction, the design is almost identical to the expensive one, and the breathable/washable cover and memory foam haven't given me any trouble with sweating, etc despite using it on leather seats on hot days. And of course, it seems to be working, and quickly. I did notice, as other reviewers have, that initially I was more sore in my rear. Immediately, this seemed to be me just trying to find the best place to sit on the cushion for my body type so that my ischium was in the "donut" rather than on the firm-when-compressed memory foam. Once I found that sweet spot, and the cushion started breaking in, that bursal pain pretty much went away, but I did notice more of a generalized soreness in the surrounding muscles. I attribute this to the fact that generally the pressure points of your ischial tuberosities and their overlying structures bear the weight of you sitting (they aren't called "sit bones" for nothing), and so when you offload them, the surrounding tissues of your rear end bear the brunt of your weight, when they aren't used to doing so. That said, the discomfort paled in comparison to what the bursitis felt like, and went away pretty quickly. This is a niche product that you probably didn't just stumble upon--if you found it and are reading this, you probably did so after doing research for something that's ailing you. In my case, this thing was a magic bullet at a fraction of the cost of some of the other stuff out there, with seemingly all of the benefits. I'll update things if they change, but as of now, I'm inclined to say that your search ends here. Buy the thing.

ergonomics in question....
With a torn tendon acting like ischial bursitis, I chose this cushion based on its design and purported ergonomics. After using it for 1.5 weeks, my pelvic pain was healing much faster! However, I began developing strain on the outer sides of my thighs, mostly on the right side (torn tendon is on my left side). The right-side pain seemed to be greater trochonderic pain syndrome. But what caused this pain on my right side? Nothing in my daily routine had changed---all my daily exercise regimens were the same. The only change was the cushion! Sitting in it this AM, I felt aggravation of pain on both the right and left sides of the greater trochoter at the top of the femur (thigh bone). I am debating returning the cushion. I am 98 lbs, narrow framed, small to medium boned, and for anyone else, I should think this cushion would be too small---especially as it curves up on the sides, apparently to be more ergonomic ... but for me ... it seems to be the reason for my upper-outer thigh pain at the top of the femur. Before I purchased the cusion, I suspected a possible ergonomic problem from it---perhaps lower back pain, but nope, it seems the culprit for causing my new pain. All that said, I do want to reiterate that it did help immensely with the torn-tendon at the base of my pelvic bones both in healing and in terms of pain when sitting.

Supportive relief
Fabulous cushion. I’ve tried a lot of others and this one provides the best support. I have one in my car for long trips and I use one on my desk chair for every day use. I had terrible pain before and since I’ve started using this cushion now have relief. It’s amazing. I highly recommend this cushion.
