Resident Alien Omnibus Volume 1

Great read!
I rarely read graphic novels or comics, but whenever I read a good one like this I wonder why. Terrific art, interesting characters, and a compelling plot. The price seems a little high for a book you can read in one sitting, but who cares? Go ahead and order a copy.

Very well produced
From graphics to writing this was a great comic. Very strong compositions, well executed and the story has a solid pace.

Good story
I got onto Resident Alien because of the show, but as they say, the book is better than the TV show. With this, they are certainly right. I love the TV show, but the stories of Harry. here are so much more than the outsider that the show portrays. The small town feel is clearly more apparent here and works so well. The thing that both the show and comic agree on is Asta.

Very engaging, and entertaining
The art and story are superb. Immediately wanted to purchase the next volume. Not fair to compare to the TV show, they are doing different things, however I enjoyed this more.

Better than the TV series
I'll admit; I only started reading this comic after watching the SyFy comedy based on it. But the show changed so much, and strikes such a wildly different tone, that even comparing the two does both a massive disservice. The show is bombastic, goofy, chockablock with the usual TV comedy stupidity. (Not that I dislike that, exactly, just drawing a comparison.)The comic, on the other hand, is ironically a great deal more down to earth. There is comedy here, but it's more wry and dry that the show it inspired - and that alone makes this book worth picking up.

Fun series quite different from the TV show
Great collection of books. While many of the characters are the same the stories are quite different. Very funny in places and full of heart.

Human And Interesting Characters, particularly Harry
My mechanic suggested this, and he was right. Good art, very well developed and interesting characters. I plowed through the entire series. A truly wonderful story, hope it continues. Great stuff.

Different from TV series, both are excellent
The comic series is different in many ways than the TV series, but it’s still excellent. This comic is smart, funny at times, and has solid well-defined story arcs. The characters are engaging and the settings & events that impact the characters are interesting and well thought out. I’ve read this and watched the TV series and works recommend them both.

See the TV show first.
I watched the TV series first, then bought the graphic novels. Good decision. There is quite a lot of difference between the two. If you read these first and THEN watch the series, you may be disappointed somewhat. Recommended. :)

Fun concept that gave us a great TV series
Picked this up after falling in love with the TV series starring Alan Tudyk. The TV show is brilliant, and I quickly discovered there are some significant plot differences between it and the comic. That said, this graphic novel is a good read which is well laid out. I prefer the TV version (which is charmingly funny), but this is a fine page-turner.
