Book has nothing to do with Android Development
Firstly, this review is not a reflection of the seller: book was dispatched same day, and received the next day with no issues. Seller would get 5/5.The book itself, however, is a major disappointment. Apress specifically titled and blurbed this book to advertise that those with prior experience programming Java SE would be able to use this book to transfer those Java SE skills into the Android environment. However, after looking through the book it is nothing more than a basic Java SE programming textbook. There is no mention of any specific Android development APIs or technologies that could be of significance when transitioning. It even tells you to use Eclipse as your IDE instead of something like the Android Studio. If you are looking to learn how to program Java SE with Eclipse, then this might be a good book for you, though you would probably be better off using Sam's 21 Days for general Java SE.
