Sparknotes is a great supplement and learning tool. Highly recommend it. Having summaries of the characters is so very helpful because there are many characters, and they are introduced so quickly. Initially, it can be confusing in keeping the characters separated. We use Sparknotes as much as we can for other books, too.

If you are going to buy the Crucible book it self, do not forget to buy this book. It is cheap, and also as a ton of information that makes understanding the Crucible a lot easier. Also can help you out with homework.

The Crucible is one of the most outstanding plays ever written. It is a wonderful study in conflict development.

You can always count on Sparknotes to help you understand your readings and add incite to them. This was a great help. I highly recommend this reading aid.

My daughter had to read this book. The book is written in play format so it is hard to follow at first. I am a teacher so I purchased this for her. It gave a great character analysis and description of each scene!

Bought this by accident…. Some good info here, but you can get most, if not all, of this for free online.

Using for English at school perfect with analysis of quotes and character also explains the story in depth, very useful and came in good condition worth the money :)

Bought for my tutee as she was struggling with the character analyses and themes. I am an English teacher and would always recommend SparkNotes for their accessibility and accuracy, especially their step-by-step analysis and evaluation of each act of the play. You have to adapt it for the exam board being studied, as some don't require contextual references, but all in all a great little purchase.
