Works as expected . . . but read
This device was used as an additional contact sensor to my existing wired alarm system. I have had a lot of experience with Tuya and Smart Life devices. It works exactly as expected. It installed VERY quickly and easily. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that while the app notification is pretty fast (a second or two), I am using it in combination with other third party security apps (Smartthings and ActionTiles), and because of this, along with my wifi delay that happens anyway, I actually experience a 4-5 second delay. My device is in such a location that a delay of that amount will not make any difference, so I can easily live with it. If you are content with using only the accompanying app, you should be happy with this product. For anything else beyond that, it does take some extensive tweaking to get it to work with Smartthings and ActionTiles, but if you have patience and set it up properly, it works great in those apps as well. The circuit has stuck open once or twice, and was easily fixed by just toggling the switch. I might change my review if it continues to happen, but so far, so good. Remember, it will never be instant, it was not designed that way, because it has to run through your wifi system, it is not wired. Only a wired device is instant. I am happy with my purchase and I would buy another if the need arises.

Decent response time, Does not work with Alexa.
I was able to successfully connect the sensor device to the Smart Life app. It took several tries, yet it was successful.I set the app to message me when the door opens or closes. I verified multiple times the device is communicating to the App.I was able to successfully link the Smart Life app to the Alexa app in Skills. I was able to add the device to the Alexa app, named “Pantry.” When I open the pantry door, I can the device change state, Open and Close.I created a routine to turn on a light (my pantry light) when the device opens. A separate routine when the door closes. The intent is to turn on the pantry light on/off when the door opens/closes.The routine does not work. The door opens/closes, nothing happens. I verified the device is being recognized in the Alexa app, no issues. I continue to see the device repot open/closed as expected. However, the routine is not working. In my opinion, the device works as expected, the Smart Like app recognizes the device and acts accordingly. The issue, in my opinion the Alexa app has a bug.Working with Alexa tech support did not resolve the issue. Not sure what I am going to do at this point.

Perfect Alexa integration; 4 second delay
Alexa integration is perfect and works to trigger Alexa routines. Instructions:1. Set up and name the sensor in Smart Life's app.2. Open the Alexa app and add the "Smart Life" skill within the Alexa app. The sensor then showed up as an available device within Alexa. NOTE: I never tried to or had to add the sensor as a new device. Rather, adding the Smart Life skill was all I needed to do.3. Create a new routine and set the sensor as a trigger for the routine. I made two routines: one routine to turn on a smart light when the window sensor opens, and a second routine to turn off the smart light when the window sensor closes.I experienced a pretty consistent 4 second delay between when the sensor opens or closes and when the Smartlife app or Alexa routine responds. That time scale worked fine for my purpose (knowing if I forgot to close a window), but might be annoying if your need an instant trigger.

Cheap but not worth investing for long term use
When I first bought these sensors, I was happy with my purchase. They did the job I needed. Granted they were slow in response but for over a year the sensors were running good. Up until I needed to swap out the batteries. For some reason, after replacing the old batteries, they refused to turn back on. There was no red light indicating that they would pair up again. I check the new batteries with a meter, they had a good charge on them. They were the righ size (AAA) and yes, I did check if I installed them backwards. Nothing. Both of them just gave out right there. No sign of damage on the sensor either. Both of them were indoor sensors, away from moisture and extreme temperature change. Honestly don't know why they gave out, which is a shame. They're decent sensor for this price range, just did not last long for some reason.

Slow response via Alexa
Installation via their app is quick and easy. Integration with Alexa is identical to all linked skills. However, a quick momentary open and close will not be detect via Alexa. It will be seen and reported via their app. So this is a NO GO for me as I'm need assurance of the detection. Additionally, you need a subscription if you want their system to text you via conventional means, which is another NO GO for me.

Nice reliable door sensor being used on a garage door
The first one I received had problems connecting to my network even after resets and removing batteries.I was sceptical to replace with the same item, but thought I'd try one more. The replacement worked perfect. No issues connecting or losing connections.I've written some Alexa routines to announce when the garage door opens or closes. Goes to both my Alexa Show and DOT.The app for the sensor also notifies me when the door opens and closes, so when I'm not home I'm still being notified.Very nice product and pleased with functionality and connectivity with Alexa.I'd recommend this product.
