Woooohoooo it works!!!
Seller ships fast! I have a Duluth Forge NG Stove (model FDSR25) that operates on the famous RG04-IT remote and matching receiver. The thermostat in my remote started going out and anyone who has this remote and receiver knows it can be very difficult to find now. I got tired of waiting for months for the factory remote and receiver to come back in stock. I called Skytech and they told me this would work for my stove (which has a latching solenoid that operates on a 110 volt electric plug). I was told by the rep that this new kit has the latching solenoid operation built in and does not require 110, just 4AA batteries the unit takes. I am happy to report it works beautifully and way better than the factory equipment ever did! The remote is easy to program to the receiver, the temperature is very accurate and thermostat works quickly at the temp to turn on and off. I just set the mode on the receiver and Im done. I absolutely recommend this unit if you have a latching solenoid operating stove. If something ever happens, this unit is easy to find and does not require electricity to operate: just the batteries for the remote and receiver. Just a quick note: the receiver box isnt an exact fit. I put it in the spot where the factory receiver went and its a little smaller. It just sits in there, but thats ok as it doesnt effect the functionality.

Works well for my firegear ventless logs.
I bought this remote to control my firegear ventless gas logs since I decided to switch to heating my house primarily by propane instead of my heat pump. This remote control units works well for my needs. I can set it to 70 degrees and it will cycle the logs on at 68 and off at 72. The only reason I did not give this item a 5 star rating is that you cannot adjust the swing setting, which is the +2 off and -2 on setting that controls the logs. I should have done more research, but I was able to compensate by playing with where I put the remote. I placed the remote a little closer to the fireplace, which effectively cycles the logs on/off how I prefer. According to my central heat/air thermostat, the effective swing is now only 1 degree. My actual temperature varies from 69-70 degrees.

Did not fit into space of unit that needed replacing.
Did not fit into space of unit that needed replacing. Wire connections did not match up. Had to modify everything to make it work. Disappointed in unit but modified because I needed heat right away.
