Cerakote Headlight Restoration Kit : After Using on 3 Different Cars over 3 years This is my second time purchasing the Cerakote Headlight Restoration Kit, and I’ve now used it across three different vehicles. At this point, I feel comfortable saying this product genuinely works when used correctly. Before trying this kit, I considered replacing my headlights entirely. The cheapest replacement set I found was around $150 just for the parts. Installation would have required removing the grille, bumper, and other components, which adds time and complexity. For an older vehicle, that didn’t make financial sense. Instead, I chose to restore the original headlights. Cost and Value My first package cost me $17, and I restored two cars with that single kit ( about 9$ per pair). That alone made it worth it. Durability 1 year+ under direct Cali sunlight (currently on year 2 and still good) First Car – Learning the Process The first time I used the kit, my results were decent but not perfect. That was mainly because I didn’t fully understand how sanding and polishing actually work. ( this reoxidized fastest under 8 months, but it was mostly my fault) I didn’t initially realize: The headlight needs to stay wet during sanding Oxidation must be completely removed before applying clear coat Even pressure matters/ 50% overlap coverage when appling ceramic Once I understood that sanding is the most important step, everything improved. Second Car (beater) Major Improvement The second vehicle was heavily oxidized and yellowed. I used the remaining material from that same $17 kit and restored it completely. The clarity difference was dramatic. It looked close to factory condition, and night visibility noticeably improved. That was when I realized the product itself is solid; the key is proper technique. Third Car ; Recent purchase By the third car, the process felt straightforward. I followed the instructions carefully, kept the surface wet while sanding, and applied the clear coat evenly in one smooth pass. The final result was clear, glossy, and uniform. No haze, no streaking. Durability On my first vehicle, the restoration lasted close to a year perfectly( I sold that car this year and it still had clear headlights), and that car was parked outside in direct sun most days. For a DIY kit at this price point, that level of durability is impressive. Final Thoughts I seriously considered spending $150 on replacement headlights( this was cheapest ) and dealing with removing body panels. Instead, I spent $17 and restored two cars. Now having used it on three vehicles, I can say this kit is effective, cost-efficient, and worth the time if you follow the process properly. It does require effort and patience, but the results justify it. I would purchase it again.

I have used several different so called headlight restoration products before and none have ever worked this well. This stuff really is amazing. Worked better than I expected. It was simple, quick and great price. If you follow the easy instructions on this you WILL get great results and new headlights. I recommend taking a little extra time to watch the 5min instruction video. Key points, use sandpaper only side to side not in circular motion. Make sure it's dry before step 3. This stuff worked excellent on my headlights. I'm only a week into it and still looking great. Highly recommend and I'll definitely use on any other vehicle.

Awesome Product. Easy to use. Videos very helpful. To get great results, wet sanding is a must. Cerakote's instructions on this are quite clear, so don't worry. Using this product saved me about $ 500.00+ for parts only. To replace headlight lenses on a MR2, the bumper needs to be pulled [not interested]. The results look like new, with a strong ceramic finish coat that looks great.

We had cloudy headlights on two of our vehicles and had tried cheaper kits before that didn’t work well. This one worked great on both — the headlights looked as good as new after using it. The only downside is that about a year later, they were cloudy again. I’m not sure if there’s anything out there that lasts longer, but it did give great results while it lasted.

Genuinely surprised. I wanted to clean up the headlight overs on our old beater. It's just my car to get to work with 260k miles on that bad boy... So I wasn't sure how well it would work. I figured they wouldn't turn out all that great given the condition... but i was absolutely blown away with the results. Tried and true working product. I have used on other vehicles and always been happy with the results. I have tried a more expensive product that you use a drill with. Should of stayed with this kit. Easy to use and the kit comes with almost everything you need besides some painters tape, towels and a spray bottle of water. Those you will have to provide. Took me about 45 mins and the results I am happy with. Definitely worth the money's in my opinion.

Headlights look new! This product truly surpassed expectations. We used this on a 2010 Acura TSX. Great car, but starting to show cosmetic wear in the headlights. A mechanic quoted to perform a restoration service at $150. So not wanting to pay that we opted to try this product first. It did not disappoint. See the before and after. That says it all. A couple of tips of what we did that worked for us: We used painters, tape, just basic blue painters tape, to protect the car paint and surrounding trim. It worked great and did not damage the paint and removed easily. We opted to use a small bucket with a sponge for the rinsing steps as it was easier to control the water which is important when you get to the drying stage, because to apply the ceramic coating, everything has to be completely dry. (no splashing or excess water as a hose or spray bottle might do). We used paper towels to dry surfaces. Also take the time to do the sanding properly. Including set up, following the directions to a T, the whole process took about two hours. Only time will tell how long this holds up but for now, we are very satisfied and happy with the purchase and outcome.

Das Ergebnis war wirklich phä­no­me­nal und ich kann es jedem empfehlen. Meine Scheinwerfer waren zuerst komplett matt. Nach der Anwendung waren sie wieder klar und sehen wie neu aus. Das Set ist einfach anzuwenden und die Anleitung ist sehr verständlich. Wenn man sich exakt nach der Anleitung hält, dann kann absolut nichts schiefgehen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. Ich würde das Produkt jederzeit wieder kaufen.
