Exact Replacement as Expected
Great price and prompt delivery. If these are for replacements and your smoke detectors are old you may need to replace the bezel and the AC pigtail which are included. I replaced mine 10 years ago and that was necessary. This time these replacements fit perfectly. I still replaced the bezel because they had slightly ‘yellowed’ and it is very easy to do, just two screws. The pigtails did not need to be replaced.I recommend replacing the installed batteries which are not even alkaline. I replaced them with Amazon Basics 9V lithium batteries which should last ten years, the life of the detectors. FYI, I got 5yrs using alkaline cells but the extra cost of lithium cells will keep me off the ladder for the life of the detectors.

Excellent Replacement Smoke Detectors but no Co2 on this model
Most people moving into a new home, don’t realize that whether it is a new construction or not, the installed smoke detectors have a limited effective lifespan…at the end of which they start chirping and you go nuts trying to figure out why and when you can’t you just unplug them completely and remove the batteries so you can go back to sleep…and then a couple days later you feel guilty that your family has no working smoke detectors…because when 1 goes bad, within days they all go bad. But you probably already know that, or else you most likely wouldn’t be reading this review. They are as easy to install as the old ones were to remove. Good luck. And remember to use a step stool or ladder so you don’t break your neck trying to use a chair or stacked furniture to reach it

Easy OEM replacement for 20 year old house
These were substantially cheaper to buy online and in a six pack then you could ever buy them at Home Depot or Lowe’s. Product worked exactly as expected. Would recommend 10 out of 10.

These were easy to install. They do not have the modern profile that many other brands do.

They work well.
Installation was fairly easy. I’m 79 and don’t like ladders. I purchased 6 but I’ve been able to install 3 of them. Scary on ladder. I’ve used these for years and replace them regularly.Today my handyman will install the ones with rooms in higher ceilings.

Great Money saver
Heres one great money saver, Home Depot charges $34 each for these smoke detectors. I just had to unplug defective detector & plug this one in. No tools required, Original equipment replacement!
