I've been taking this collegan powder for nearly 4 months now, almost daily. Switched from a collagen powder that only had two types of collagen in it, took a very long time before noticing any benefits with daily supplementation. Started taking the Horbaach collagen powder (after being impressed with their other capsulated supplements) and noticed benefits MUCH sooner (I had been off the previous powder for about a year). You still need to give it time, at least a month or two, but for how economical this one is, you won't be disappointed. I take the recommended serving size listed on the nutrition label. My nails are now hard as rocks, nothing can make them bend, before they'd bend if I pushed on them. I actually dread trimming them now because it's really hard to cut through them with a solid pair of nail clippers. My hair is coming in thick, regarding density and the hairs themselves, and it's shiny and tangle-free. Both my hair and nails are growing so fast. My eyelashes are very long, thick, and growing fast as well. I'm almost 30, so the skin benefits are not dramatic, but I did notice in the year I took a break from collagen that my jowls were starting to droop and I had smile lines, but now that I'm taking collagen again, my jowls no longer have any sagging and there's no more smile lines (I did not gain weight, either). I had really bad knee problems in the past and it took years to go into remission. A recent job I took completely destroyed my knees again, I had to quit. I feel like when I started taking the collagen my knees healed up within a couple months, which was miraculous to me because simply leaving that job wasn't helping my knees. It was definitely the collagen powder that helped them heal a lot quicker. I also noticed my hands don't get sore when I'm texting for long periods of time. Before they would sort of lock up, but I have zero issues with dexterity in my hands now. The powder itself has no taste and dissolves easily. I put it in my blender bottle with just water and a flavor packet, and I add a scoop to my soups and broth. Very happy with this product, I'm a loyal customer for life!

This is kind of a redundancy from another review I made on the same product, but smaller packaging: I really like this collagen powder. I was buying the one pound containers, but this is a way better value for how much you get. There's no change in the quality at all, which is sometimes a concern, but these guys stay consistent, which is awesome. If you've never used an unflavored collagen powder before, I STRONGLY recommend blending it with something that has a strong flavor profile. Drinking it in something mild will make you regret your life choices (unless you like a meaty/fishy taste, I guess?). I've mixed it with pre-workout, protein shakes, and juices. I will say that the flavor of the juice will matter, as lighter juices (like apple juice) do not mask the flavor of the collagen powder as well as something more intensely flavored will. You should definitely experiment and see what it works best with for you, since your pallet will be different from mine. In my protein shakes and pre-workout drinks, it's barely noticeable (there's a very mild aftertaste, but it's not like it'll assault your senses or anything). I've added this to one food item and I've had no issues thus far, and that's yogurt bowls. I'll do Greek yogurt, the collagen powder, and whatever toppings I like, and I've had no issues with it so far. I've also added protein powder to the same yogurt bowls and that flavor overwhelms it completely. I've had no issues with digestive upset or any issues with the consistency. I haven't mixed it with hot items before, so I don't know how it would taste in something like coffee. Again, it's something you should experiment with. For the benefits: I've been using collagen powder since 2022 (and inconsistently, since I try to mix it with something either pre- or post-workout, and I don't use those on a daily basis) for my skin and nails specifically. My nails used to be super brittle and would break/crack/split/bend easily, but I've noticed a difference in their quality over time. They're stronger, thicker, and healthier than they've ever been; they can actually bend/flex and they won't crack/split/tear, and it has resistance behind the bend. This could also partially be due to my diet, environment, and/or genetics, but I think the collagen helped make a HUGE difference in that. I don't have the aforementioned issues anymore, so I'm super happy about that. As for my skin, I don't know how to describe it, but it feels/looks healthier and plump. I use the powder and moisturizers/sunscreen and things like that as well, so it's not JUST due to the collagen, but I feel that working it into my regimen has helped it out. My nails are the biggest benefit. Again, I've been using this collagen powder since 2022, and as long as their quality/processes/ingredients don't make a drastic change, I'm sticking with them. I love this stuff. All of that being said: if you're not sure if you're going to like it, order the smaller container first and give it a try. Just remember to have good stuff to blend it into. :) It's worth it in my opinion. I will say, my only (very minor) grievance is the scooper. While it's consistently the same size, why do I have to turn into some weird version of an archaeologist and unearth it from the powder? It's 2025, can we please attach it to the inside of the lid or something? That's my only complaint honestly lol.

Of course I buy this one for the lower price compared to other brands but having initially used others from Amazon as well as retail stores I can absolutely say it works just as well. It is hard to judge the inner effects although without other supplements I can say it seems to alleviate pain in my back (had surgery but "shredded” disk remains) and (no meniscus) knees. Although I would only buy the full array of collagen it is easy to see the results in my 73 year old skin. My face is blemish free and my eyes are not sunken or puffy (despite insomnia). The measuring stick that I use to determine if I need to up the dose amount is my arms. Older folks may better understand this but when I twist my forearm, using this supplement, I should see no crepey skin at all. Note#1: I agree that the container is wasteful and would prefer just a recyclable bag but at least the jar can be put in recycle, reused for storage, cut and reused as a gallon sized planter, or sent to the thrift store for others to reuse. Note#2: Low Carb Shake - In a blender I mix 1/4th cup collagen & 2Tbs Indonesian raw chocolate powder & 1/8tsp pure monk sugar & 1/4+C cottage cheese & 1/4th & avocado & one or two droppers full of banana extract The Collagen powder is slightly sweet in cold drinks but disappears in shakes and juices Note#3: It is difficult for any full array to dissolve because the proteins come from different sources (such as beef, chicken or shells) but for perfect blending hot or cold, either use a blender or stir first into a couple of inches (less if your using a smaller dose) of slightly warm liquid and then stir that mixture into any drink. Note#4: Since I don’t have Prime, instead of a subscription, I add one container to orders that are under the $35 minimum to get free shipping on my whole order. The powder only half fills the container so you can combine jars to save space for storage.

The item arrived as described with no issues. All safety seals were intact and had an expiration date of 3/27. The collagen is a fine powder that dissolves well in liquids even hot ones. It has no taste or smell that I would consider different or abnormal from what was expected. Note there is a fill line on the size of the container and the one I got was about a 1/4 inches below the fill range…even after I shook the container to unpack the powder. One scoop per serving and there are 91 servings according to the label. Qualitatively, I had no adverse reactions to consuming. I mixed it in a variety of foods and drinks. My favorite was with my morning hot chocolate or overnight oats. I like that it’s low calorie with minimal fillers. Note if you have allergies this is a friendly product to many of them. Ingredients listed are all beneficial in some way to my overall health goals. The core ingredients are all in adequate amounts in my opinion. Overall, the combination of different collagen and the amounts of each are sufficient. It is affordable quality product that I would recommend to others.

I've been using this product for about 18months maybe almost 2 years. I put it in the bottom of my coffee mug with a teaspoon to teaspoon and a half sugar, then add hot black coffee. It dissolves almost before i stir and then completely once i stir the normal 10-12 revolutions. It has zero after taste to me as well. I've had others that had the fishy smell and taste. I've had one small jar of this that seemed a little more gritty, but I figure things happen its not always gonna be the same everything forever and it wasn't to the point it ruined my dosing everyday.. I'm a morning coffee drinker so this product has been rocking my world for a long time and the benefits are obvious. My joints, specifically knees and hips, don't hurt, or crackle pop anymore. My hair stopped falling out in swift fashion (no i don't have thyroid disease). I'm using the product as i can and am benefiting. they kind of tell people cold liquids are causing trouble and everyone knows if you pour a packet of hot chocolate on the top of your milk or water it clumps up. Concerning the amount in the jar...yeah I'm guessing this stuff has ultimate settling. I do know that the price is still worth the amount and the large is double the amount of the small. So i don't get wrapped up in the size of the jar. I'd assume they'd save money on that if they could. Bottom line. Perhaps move on if you like this in cold stuff and are going to complain about settling. Think of a bag of chips...its same thing its always half full people. Lastly, this is not an overnight magic cure if you don't put the time in then you wont notice any change. It took me like 6 months to realize ...is this working? Damn right it is i never complain about knee or hip pain and I can crouch, squat, bend and contort them more than i could ever remember. Ive not given it up since and i still can tell its benefitting me. My nail and skin did not change though. We're all different though. I was in it for the better joints and hope these guys stay in business so i don't have to go back to trying the other brands with their fishy tastes and smells. Thanks Horbach

Great stuff. Very powdery and easy to dissolve in liquid. Add to my coffee in the morning. Taste is neutral to me and easy to use and definitely notice a difference using this product. My fingernails and hair grow like mad.

I have been using this product for about two years now. I find that it is the best value for my money. It has helped me with my thinning hair and brittle nails. I have it on Subscribe and Save and get a cannister every three months. I use two scoops a day--one in my two morning cups of coffee. No flavor--would never know it was there. DOWNSIDE!!! I have attached two pictures of the container that this product comes in. Notice how almost half of the container is empty and yet I just opened it! This is too much to just say that it is settling!! How about saving some environment and use a smaller container. DOUBLE DOWNSIDE!!! Notice the size of the to for the lid. I have small hands and find it almost impossible to open the lid the first time because of the sealant. If only the container would be smaller along with the lid. MANUFACTURER--MAKE THIS PRODUCT EVEN GREATER--SAVE SOME PLASTIC AND HELP A SMALLER OLD LADY OPEN THE LID EASIER!!

I've been using other popular brands for a long time until my mom told me about this brand. It has WAYYY more types of collagen than my other brands and still way less expensive. Now that Im getting older and paying more attention to my nutrition and doing my best at staying healthy and increasing vitality, this has been great for my skin. I dont have as much joint achiness anymore either and think its due to the joint benefits this offers. I put it in my coffee every morning and it dissolves very easily. It doesnt change the taste of my coffee, but adds a touch more body to it, which I like. If you want to increase your protein each day, this is a super easy way to do so. One thing to know though... the serving size is 2 tbsp, but the scoop they include is 1.5 tbsp. So be sure you use a heaping scoop for the right serving size.
