I usually buy vanilla beans/pods which are dried, in a jar, from the store, and pay an exorbitant amount for them. I looked on Amazon and when I saw organic (which doesn’t necessarily mean anything but I figured I’d give them a try) that helped to sway me. They smell AMAZING!!! They are soft so I am able to scrape out the seeds if so desired. This may not be what you want and you may need the pods/beans dry for a recipe but if you are looking for a quality product, suitable for homemade extract (strong potency), clean and moist, you have found it! I hope your order is as good as mine. I’m super happy with it. It came quickly only draw back? Packaged in plastic, I prefer anything but.

High-quality. Great value for your money. Use it to make vanilla extract or to put an ice cream or baking. I receive a large quantity of vanilla beans for a good price. If you go in the store, it is $10 per bean.

Second time buying this product. These beans smell amazing once you open them. The size is fantastic and the price is great compared to stores where you get 1 or 2 beans for $10. I use these to make vanilla extracts and vanilla bean paste, although I use the paste more due to the tastiness! They work wonderful in cooking and baking. Ive used for pastry cream, creamer, cookies, and a multitude of other kitchen creations. The taste is nice and I have not received any with mold issues.

The Beans came in a air sealed bag in fresh and plump condition. Fragrant Yes. So glad I took a chance on this company for the Madagascar Vanilla Beans. Arrived the next day just as I was making my first Homemade Vanilla Extract with other beans Tahitian from Costco that I bought last OCT. I wanted to try making 2 kinds of Vanilla Extract. One with Vodka and one in a Dark Rum. So arrival was spot on. Got them both started, and now to wait and wait. I would order from this Company again. EDIT: I am back to Re-order. First order and above review was from June 2019. Just placed my 2nd Order for these beans from the same company. First was as I stated beautiful and plump. Length was as stated. My Homemade Vanilla Extract Experience: One I didn't have quite enough Vodka so I used Everclear to fill up the jar. Well I do not like that Vanilla much at all. Maybe it will sit for 10 yrs and be ok for me. The Dark Rum was Jamaican Dark Rum and that Vanilla is super good. When I made the Vanilla, the recipe I had said to shake the Vanilla every week and I did. Also kept on a shelf in a dark Pantry. Now in the questions there is an actual Measurement for making Single Fold Vanilla. I may try that guideline on this next batch. The Chef that I listened to was Ina Garten about her vanilla. When Her stash gets about 1/2 way used She adds more Vodka. In a few months She'll add a few more Vanilla Beans. So that is what I have been doing. All is well with my Vanilla. Oh I did after about 1 1/2 years pull out a few beans and opened them up and scraped them into the Extract. I give it a shake and measure it out. This Company has GREAT VANILLA BEANS.

These vanilla beans were amazing! I made triple thick vanilla extract for Christmas for friends and family. These were very strong and made amazing extract in just a few months! I'm going to make more for gifts next year! The cookies and ice cream I made with the extract was wonderful!!! You can't get this flavor with store bought extract. It's simply not the same. I wonder what they do to get their extract that black color as real vanilla doesn't need to be that dark. I think the commercial places add color or something and it isn't as good as these. I leave the beans in the bottles and I take a half of one out after I've made extract, then squeeze the contents into a glass of milk before bedtime. The vanilla milk is amazing and the smell is heavenly! The medical uses of vanilla are vast and are incredible for our health! Even the smell has amazing effects. I will definitely order from this company again! They ferment their beans to perfection and they are ready to use. If you think these smell like pipe tobacco, that's because it is so concentrated! (& fermented then dried vanilla beans are used in pipe tobacco mixes). I don't care for the mix when there's too much in the air, buy leaving the empty package in the kitchen make the house smell wonderful after using the beans. These taste great, are good quality and I will recommend these. I'll be back to buy more of these!

These were a good product. They did fine producing the extract I was making. However, they were markedly smaller and less plump than the grade a product I purchased outside of Amazon at a private exporter. The price of course, was higher. Overall, these will do what you need.

I buy these every time I make vanilla extract. It takes 5-halves to make 4 oz bottle. These are an excellent deal for the quality and are organic, which is an attractive feature as well. They are easy to split and have a wonderful flavor when aged appropriately. I consider this bean to be of excellent quality and will buy again. They are moist and I've never seen mold on them. Shrink packaged.

I am very impressed with the quality on these vanilla beans. They are wide, oily and tender which made them easy to split. These beans are a great value. All vanilla beans have a slightly funky ammonia smell that some people can distinguish more easily than others. This does not affect the finished vanilla extract.

So fresh, delicious and fragrant. Will buy more

11/25 - Another order of Grade A organic. Madagascar vanilla beans - 51 beans, 4.8 oz. 9/25 - This pkg of 51 (I received one extra) grade A organic Madagascar vanilla beans weighed 4.5 oz. and averaged 6” long. This is my 5th order with this company, and once again they haven’t failed me.
