This product worked really well. We needed something to make the lip of our walk in shower higher after removing the shower doors. We have absolutely no water that spills out and it has made cleaning so much easier. This product was easy to use and stayed in place.

I bought 5 ft. black water dam barrier package which comes with 5 ft. silicone water dam barrier with adhesive tape (exactly as shown in the picture, very heavy in weight and yet fairly flexible to bend to create any shape water boundary), a utility knife, a marking pen, 2 caulking tools (caulking finishing tool to smoothen caulk, caulking scraper to remove excess hardened caulk), a clear waterproof caulk/glue tube with nozzle, and a pair of plastic gloves. For whatever unknown reason, my top-hung sliding shower doors had an existing water dam barrier on the outside bottom edge only. They did not have one on the inside bottom edge which somestimes caused the sliding doors to come off the track. After doing an extensive research and trying a few alternates to remedy the situation, I finally came across this product. To be honest, I did not even know what exactly to search for as I did not know the name. Thanks to ChatGPT for a huge help to reveal the product name "Water Dam Barrier"! Once I figured out what exactly to search for, I purchased this particular package in late October 2025 to use it on the inside bottom edge of my sliding shower doors as it meets the required color, length, and height. The water dam barrier is very easy and quick to install. Simply prepare surface, cut it to length using the utility knife, bend into the desired shape, remove red adhesive backing little at a time, and press it firmly for adhesive tape to stick to the surface. I also applied the waterproof glue and shaped it using the supplied tools. All together, it took less than 15 minutes to finish the job, the longest time was to prepare the surface. I left it without using shower for 2+ days to ensure the strongest adhesion. After a week of using the shower, it still remained glued and hard as rock. As for it not being able to maintain the adhesion (as per numerous other reviews), I do not know yet. I will update this review after using the shower for a couple of months. My sliding shower doors finally remain aligned to the tracks. P.S. I have not been paid to write this review, however, I feel very ecstatic to having finally found this comprehensive package that worked so beautifully!

This water barrier was a game changer for keeping the water off the floor after a shower. I have had it for several months and it is holding up well. It was also easy to install and came with everything needed for the installation.

I LOVE this thing! I had no idea these even existed, but we have a stand-up shower that was poorly installed and water is constantly leaking out and onto the floor. I found this, installed it (super easy by the way), and there's no more water on the floor! It came everything you needed to install this, and more! It even comes with a knife to cut it to size, caulk for where the water dam meets the shower wall, caulk-smoothing tools, a marker to mark your cuts, and even gloves that you can wear so you don't get caulk on your hands! The adhesive on the bottom is super sticky and has not moved a bit since it was installed. My 6'2" 230lb boyfriend even tripped over it one time and it didn't move. The plus side to him tripping over it was that we discovered it's soft and flexible. No stubbed toes in our shower! It's easy to clean as it's made of a heavy rubber material and is overall worth the price. Would recommend.

It seems to be doing its job. It is a challenge to seal the ends, as they are open. I'm hoping nothing leaks into or through where it meets the wall. The tools are too flimsy or awkward to be of any help at all. Even the knife bends and can't cut the thick silicone. In all, not worth the price, as there is no convenience. There are no English words on the silicone sealer, so, I just did what I knew it should do. It worked okay. We will see how it holds.

Just installed this and this is the most impressed I have ever been from an Amazon purchase. I have not been paid to write a review, I was just super impressed. The barrier itself is great: tall enough to hold back a good bit of water but not tall enough to be a nuisance to step over. The adhesive on it is great: it wasn’t immediately stuck as soon as it touched the shower but once I pushed it down for a few seconds, it did not want to move. But what really impressed me was the face that this came with everything you need to get it installed properly. It came with the barrier, a knife to cut the barrier to the length you need, silicone sealant to seal around it and seal where it contacts the wall, a scraper tool to remove any excess sealant, a caulk removal tool to clean up anything g that may have been there previously, and a pair of gloves to use while applying the sealant! Were these extra tools the nicest in the world? No, but the fact that they were included at all was fantastic. Will follow up with how the barrier holds up in a few months. 🤞🏻

This shower threshold was installed to increase the height of my shower threshold because I use a shower curtain instead of a shower door. It is working well to keep the curtain inside the shower stall and keeps the floor dry. It looks nice and was easy to install. I remodeled this bathroom in 2020, and the ADA rules required a lower height, so I am thankful for this product.

The glue is very strong but the length is very small.

The product does what it says and is easy to install. Maintaining though is a whole other ball game. The white adhesive/silicone does come off after some time - one quick solve would be to provide extra quantity to allow for reapplication or at least put up a listing for just that so people can buy it.

Product photo and description is different from product. Actual product is poor quality. Also requires stick glue and not just the self sticking tape. Quite a mess. Its not returnable. Amazon also refused to do anything as it it seller driven. Blatant cheating and misleading
