WILSON GST Composite Footballs - Tan

Purchased this for my sons and I to play catch with. Composite leather, premium office size ball. Has a very good quality feel and look. Performs well. The strips are actually stitched on, not just painted. For the price and quality, this seems like the sweet spot between the cheaper starter balls and the leather NFL originals at the top of the pole. Great ball to use at home and should last for years.

I bought this ball as an aid to thinking. While solving mental issues (I'm a coder), I walk around and I like to keep my hands busy. I needed a small football (football player in my youth) to transfer between my hands and this was the perfect ball. In addition, whenever my grown sons come over, we play catch as a means of talking and hanging out. This ball is perfect for that as well. Its small size makes throwing and catching easy...and its easy to get a good spiral. I suppose this ball is geared for pee-wee types and I'm sure it works great for that. But for my purposes, this is a great ball. Highly recommended.

The ball shown in the picture/description is the older model of this ball. I have owned the older model for 3 years and absolutely love it. It is the best football I've ever owned and I've owned Nike, Adidas, Wilson, leather and composite balls. The one that I received is the newer version of the ball, which can be seen if you go to Wilson's website and look up GST 1780. At first feel, the ball is tacky, just like my older one was. However, it is more elongated and the feel of the ball is not as soft as my older version. Since it has been a while, I don't remember if this is how my other one was at first as well. I will update my description after I have allowed my new one to be broken in. Overall, if you are looking for a football to toss around between friends that is the same size as a high school/college football or for a flag football league, this ball is your best bet by far. **Update: This ball is fantastic and the elongated shape gently fades away into what one would normally expect. This ball is the best of its kind for non-leather footballs.

Bought this for my son who plays high school ball. This isn’t an official game ball, but it’s cheaper and doesn’t need to be conditioned like the “real” ones. The ball isn’t as grippy either. That said, it works just fine for having a catch.

My son plays 8U football and this is the ball they use. I bought this for him so he can practice at home with the same ball so he gets comfortable with it. The composite material has great touch and helps his accuracy when he throws. He has smaller hands so it also helps with the grip. This is the Pee-wee size football, so most leagues use this size for 8 to 9U level football. Will definitely buy more.

Wilson GST is a good ball with nice workmanship. The stitches and surfaces finish is very neat. The surface offer good grip and handling. It's a happy buy.

Great ball for us Aussies. Cheaper than the rubber rubbish you get in the sportstores here. Being composite, it makes for a robust and long lasting ball that you can use anywhere. Looks good in my mancave too...
