This method works perfectly

We didn’t expected anything much of this product.When we came back from holidays, more than 20 plants were alive!It wasn’t pouring too much, just avoiding dying, not perfect. But working!

Was a bit sceptical that such a cheap, simple solution would work. But it most certainly did.The photo shows two 50 litre containers, each connected to about 10 plants. Each container delivered about 5 litres a day. We came back from 6 days of heatwave to find every plant perfectly watered.They come with excellent instructions, although some of the English is entertaining.Tips for success:1) Give yourself a few days to get the rate of water delivery right. There are quite a few different things you can do, all spelled out in the instructions. It took us three days of trial and error.2) Try to keep the cords as straight as possible between water source and plant. If there is too much bowing, the water will drip onto the floor and never make it to the plants.3) Buy more than you think you need. It is so cheap anyway. More cord on the ground around the plant keeps the cord from the water straighter. How deep you let the cord go into the water affects how much water is delivered.

Surprised but this does actually work. I ordered too late to leave the plants indoors for our 1st weekend away. You do need a few days to suss out how many lengths you need, and the wick takes a while to soak. My advice would be to fully submerge the lengths in water for a couple of days first.If I was to leave them for a full week they'd definitely need bigger buckets!

Set these wicks up, in my greenhouse, with 4 cucumber plants and 6 tomato plants in the tenuous hope that it would keep them alive for the 9 days I was away. My cucumbers had just started growing baby fruits and the tomatoes typically began to ripen two days before I left. I did not hold out much hope of the plants staying alive as they drink so much and these wicks could not possibly supply the amount of water they were used to. I just hoped that the fruits would continue to ripen. I cut 24 sections of wick; two for each plant. I placed three full buckets of water; one each to serve 4 plants. I made sure the wicks touched bottom of bucket and went over the side, straight down into the soil by roots (all plants were in growbags). The wicks were only just long enough ( will buy extra packet next time ) but just sufficed. When I returned home, last night, I anxiously went down to the greenhouse to see the damage. Instead, I saw red ripe tomatoes, through the glass, even before I got inside. All the plants were alive! Two buckets recently empty and the third with about two inches of water left in. Lots of ripened tomatoes. 5 cucumbers ready to pick , with lots more on he way. Couldn't have been happier. Not sure this would have worked if I had been away any longer but for just over a week it did the job. Highly recommended. Happy customer.

Execelent really really works, my lovely flowers drink whole big bucket of water in 3 weeks when I have enjoyed my holiday. Really recommended!!!

The product description in the pictures say that their products are only polyester because cotton is bad, but they are selling cotton wicks? Lol what? Or am i just missing something?

Sogar manchmal ein bisschen zu prima. Die Saugleistung ist enorm. Musste vor dem Urlaub eine Woche lang rumtesten. Am besten war es dann, die Schnur vorsichtig von unten in den Topf zu stecken und den Topf dann auf ein mit Wasser gefülltes Einweckglas zu stellen, bzw die kleinen Anzuchttöpfe auf Einwegplastikbecher. Nach 2 Wochen Urlaub war sogar noch etwas Wasser im Reservoir übrig. Bin echt zufrieden, und die Schnüre sind wiederverwendbar und dadurch ist die Packung super ergiebig!

Funcionó muy bien. Algunas de mis plantas se ahogaron pero necesito trabajar más en ello.

Dopo aver fatto delle prove, ho lasciato un vaso con una "Nuova Guinea" su un balcone per 2 settimane. Al termine della prima settimana ho rabboccato il vaso dell'acqua. Nonostante il caldo africano di Agosto la piantina ha resistito bene, il terreno non era ne' asciutto, ne' inzuppato.

Je l'utilise comme mèche capillaire dans une configuration de pierres au fond du pot, sans quoi le surplus d'eau stagnerait dans la soucoupe.
