Very fun and worth the money!
I got both the red one and the blue one because why not.Out the box, the blue one came nearly perfect with just a clip or two for the sail detached. The red one had quite a few detached and one was missing entirely. Not the biggest deal as you can use a small piece of string to rematch the it.Each control surface has multiple attachment points for high adjustability. The servos work well and are fairly responsive. There's trim settings for both servos via the controller and they're pretty incremental making for very fine adjustments. The batteries charge fairly quickly and will last well over 30 minutes of play. Having a second model is perfect on days when you're sailing solo. Frequent charges will drain the batteries in the controller more quickly so maybe consider using rechargables for that as well.Play time is fun. Considering this is entry level hobby grade, its easy to get the hang of and fun to use. Only controls are for the sail and rudder so no using a propeller to get yourself out of a pinch. The only caveat is, I've sailed this in my fish pond with a little fountain. The hull is fairly water tight.... except the tiny hole at the top where the string for the sales goes through. Sailing under the fountain has let water in and nearly killed the controls.Easy fix was pulling the control board out (which is fairly tiny) and covering it in hot glue. This made the board water tight and was easy enough I'd recommend it to anyone willing to spend an extra 10 minutes of their time. If anything, just for piece of mind knowing it won't get fried if it capsizes or something. All in all, my experience with these has been top notch. 10/10

Great little sailboat!
We chose this sailboat to use on a medium-size pond on our property and it's perfect! The boat is lovely. It comes with everything needed to sail, a controller, and a clear stand for when it's out of the water. The seller was also very helpful and accommodating when I contacted them. We are very pleased with this purchase and our interactions with the seller!

Comically weak motor
Today ship and crew were lost in a moderate breeze due to the really cartooish motor failing to move the boat and it got stick in some stupid bush on the other side of a lake. It was well made for the most part but the motor seriously needed to be more powerful.Update: RESCUE ONE was able to get this boat back from the terrible fate it had suffered. I wanted to update the review a star due to the impressive build quality. This thing was pumbled for a few days by severe wind and was on its side so water entered the hull. But I dried it out and cleaned all the contacts and everything fired right back up which was very impressive. The sails were fine and everything. I recommend this but know the motor is very wimpy and really can't overcome any wind what so ever I only find it useful for moving it away from the dock. I would instantly buy this with a larger prop.

Sails well in a narrow wind/wave range
If this boat was (a) 50% bigger, (b) had a different jib/head sail, and (c) was set up properly, it would be a 5 star for people who know how to sail. For non-sailors (d) add a basic guide to sail trim and sailing. The issues on a small tree lined lake. At about 4MPH wind, it starts to sail reaches well and goes upwind ok, but:1. At speeds as low as 6-8 MPH, the gusts start overpowering it upwind and cause bigger ripples that bounce it enough to slow it down. The same boat design and gear made a little bigger would handle a wider range of conditions and be more fun.2. The paint on the jib makes it curl up to one side in cold air. Adjusted several of the sail control strings and walked out into 45 degree air to watch the sail curl up. When this happens, the sail is only shaped right for a reach or down wind on one side, so it will sail well on one tack and stall out on the other. The Main sail is fine, and the jib should be made from the same material.3. Both the main and jib strings (called “sheets” by sailors) were tied to the same hole on the servo lever that tightens and eases them, but the main boom is much longer, so the sails didn’t move together properly until I cut the knot and attached the main string to the top hole and the jib to the 3rd hole down. It’s a pain reattaching the strings inside the boat hull. Then after adjusting the string tension on each boom, the sails maintain a parallel angle at multiple positions. Given that it is a bit overpowered (a lot of sail for the boat’s weight) the main needs more “twist”. Both sail lines need to be run through the forward hole on the booms so that in gusts there is less downward tension. That allows to boom to rise and spill some air without the boat getting knocked down. It could use another adjuster hole further forward on both booms. Also helping with it being overpowered is tightening the rear stays (strings from stern to mast tip) a little, which helps flatten out the sail so it can go upwind in a stronger breeze without knocking the boat over. As I said, if you don’t know to make the changes I made, you need a basic sail trim guide to adjust the boat. After 6 sailing sessions, no issues with remote function, range, rudder, or servo, and interior has stayed dry even with boat getting knocked on its side in gusts. However, the fact that it is slowed by modest ripples and overpowered on fairly light breezes made my son lose interest.

Great product a lot of fun!
I bought this rc boat for myself particularly because it has a motor than can propel it without the wind! Its a great beginner boat to get used to sailing. Extremely easy controls, simple battery recharging, and high quality product. Play stem made it easy to get into this hobby! This is a great purchase for anyone who is trying to get into the RC boating hobby. I wish they had a bigger product line like this because I would buy more.
