I’ve bought three of these things in the last couple years snd they’ve all failed. I had to buy more. They all failed. Literally the absolute most garbage thing I’ve bought from GE.

Purchased this for a 3-way set up. Unfortunately, Amazon did not indicate like they do for so many products with "People who bought this, also bought these" suggestion. The missing suggestion was the need to buy the add-on switch for the other location. 3 way function does not work without that. GE should market a bundle package of the two switches together. So my install was delayed while I waited for the add-on switch.You can review the installation instructions before purchasing under the details of the product. Be aware this is not wired like a traditional 3 way switch. The add-on switch ends up being just a communication device for the main switch. A little hard to describe, but the way you connect the wires kind of bypasses the add-on location. The 3 way function is "restored" using only one of the travelers for the add-on to "tell" the main switch to turn on.In a way, it is a very interesting solution, but you need to be aware of that and follow the wiring diagram as this is really different than a non-smart 3 way set up.For the normal DIY guy, you do need to study the wire's path in and out of the junction box to determine which of the black wires is the 2nd traveler. There were no "clues" in the installation instructions. The red wire is normally one of the travelers and is best used as traveler #2 in the instructions.Normally the 1st traveler is the black wire in the same romex as the red. So you need to study the path of the black wires inside the junction box. Perhaps there are other ways to determine, but that worked for me.

The product came in a generic white box which is probably better for the environment. The physical install was simple and smaller depth made it easier to get it in the electrical box. I have many older GE Z-wave dimmers and switches installed and had no issues adding them to SmartThings. This one was a pain. No matter what I did, I couldn't add the switch to SmartThings. After many many tries, it finally added but I didn't do anything different. Took about an hour to add it to SmartThings.Also, the instructions are wrong. To factory reset on these switches, press ten times up and then ten times down in rapid succession. Must be done really fast. Instructions that was included states three times up and followed by three times down.

GE Enbrighten Z wave plus are the easiest to install and attach to smartthings. They have a reduce footprint and reversable wiring which makes this simple. Always had trouble installing these because SmartThings requires a neutral wire and it gets crowded in there with a normal size light switch. This GE model solves that problem.

I like being able to control the lights in my house from anywhere with my phone. also add motion sensors to control the lights outside the house. This opened a new vision of control in my house based on time, precession, movement, etc. The Z-wave communication gives me room not to put everything on WIFI (2.4 or 5) and make my other devices run slow. I am happy with this SW.

Took some doing to install—the box I was putting it in was a tight squeeze—but once installed it was immediately recognized by my SmartThings hub and I was able to control the lights with a timer and my phone. I have a second one in my garage that I use in conjunction with a motion sensor so that the lights turn on every time I walk out there, and turn off five minutes later. Works great.

Sent me an item that not only looked repackaged but also looked like it was previously installed. Could not get item to turn on and therefore could not use. I am very familiar with these units and have probably 10 already installed at my home, so i know it’s defective. I ordered a replacement. They basically sent me a broken item that was not new, if it happens again i will order elsewhere. What a joke and a waste of my time, lousy.

These were easier to install than the previous versions, no worry about line vs load. The “scan” of the code on the switch made it simple to add. This is an improvement in SmartThings. Odd that the Almond was $10 cheaper, than white, and $15 less than one with both colors included. Since I was installing in the garage it didn’t matter.

The media could not be loaded.  I have these seaway plus switches all over my house for about six years now and only one of them has stopped working due to a surge. They are extremely reliable and fast when used with any major smart home hubs that support Z wave wireless technologies. I love that they come with interchangeable face plates so you can pop on a black one if you have a black wall. It has a airgap switch that allows you to soft reset, or hard reset your Z wave switch without going to the circuit breaker. this unit also is much smaller than the previous model so if you have a junction box that’s very tight it is an extremely well thought out connection system. Easy and clicky when pressing buttons. Highly recommended forever and always

Une fois branché pour une lampe extérieur en remplacement la DEL bleu clignote sans s’arrêter. L’interrupteur ne fonctionne pas sans meme essayer de plugger au Z-Wave.Le paquet reçu était non scellé et les vis déjà vissées. Seulement une seule vis pour le fixer à la boîte.Je ne recommande pas .

Easy to install. Easy to connect to Smartthings. Alexa found it right away. Replaced my $65 switch that failed during power flicker/surge.
