Argo R5-Tempo

I actually sent this saddle back initially having made the silly mistake of just sitting on the bike indoors and declaring it too firm. Well, when it was returned to sender, I thought, let's give it another go. I have now grown to love it and a recent 4-5 day tour in Scotland confirmed that it's comfortable all day long (with a decent pair of padded shorts). I even ride this thing without padded shorts sometimes and it's absolutely fine say for 45mins. I can't emphasise enough: do ensure your position on the bike is correct before blaming the saddle! Your sit bones should be on the wider part of the seat (or thereabouts) unless you're shifting your weight forward to get in a more TT position. Do also give some time to break the saddle in and as mentioned, wear decent padded shorts. In my experienced, shorts like Altura are rubbish whereas Castelli's chamois is like having a mini suspension under your butt! Do also get the saddle nice a flat by using a spirit level on the front half of the seat (you can get phone apps that will do this). Other stuff: it looks genuinely slick on the bike and is fairly lightweight too.

Very comfortable and forgiving on long rides. I tried a few different saddles before settling on this and it's worth every penny. This is a replacement for the original Giant Approach that came with the bike.

I got this saddle on a recommendation from online cycling forum. What a difference to my performance, was struggling on my bike, but now I feel I am floating on air and can just cycle. Excellent product.

This is great if you have wider sit bones and like a slightly shorter saddle. This is comfortable for me even over 5 or 6 hours paired with the right shorts. It is slippery when wet and it’s not heavily padded so it would be important to wear a decent pair of shorts. It’s a well made saddle. I have one of these on each of my bikes and it just works for me and the shape is right and there is sufficient room for shifting about a bit in the saddle

Not at first, takes a bit of breaking in, getting used to, but worth it.

I bought this saddle because of my on and off problems with the perineum. Someone suggested me to get a saddle with a short nose and a cut out. I found this saddle and the price wasn’t so bad. I chose the right size ( it is coming in two sizes). I have done two rides over 50km and I haven’t had any symptoms. Very impressed!

Bike saddles are very personal. One person may feel most comfortable on a $200 saddle and one person may be most comfortable on a $20 saddle. Price isn't an indication of the most comfortable saddle. When someone finds a comfortable saddle, they will likely give it 5 stars, even if quality isn't good. It becomes a near emotional journey as saddle pain is frustrating. When it comes to this Fizik Tempo Argo Endurance saddle, my experience over 200 miles (20-40 mile rides) has been great. Quality seems very good and I realized with this saddle that my other saddles were too narrow. Initially, I had sit bone pressure I wasn't used to. I soon realized that this initial pain was an indication I was sitting on my sit bones for the first time on my saddle. Which must not have been the case prior. After 2-3 rides the sit bone pressure subsided. I suffered numbness for a long time just accepting I had sensitive regions down yonder(even with large cut out). With this saddle fitting me correctly (thus far) and the nice cut out I have zero numbness and the way the seat feels under me make me me feel confident and solidly on the bike. What I will say is that on this saddle I feel like there is one very specific place I must be sitting. Secondarily, it is odd looking to me at times as the short nose make the saddle appear setback further than it really is. Overall, what works for me may not work for you. Your experience may be a complete 180 of mine and my experience still may change, 40 miles is much diff than 100 or even back to back 30-50 mile rides with sweaty rear end this summer. I will update my review if issues arise.

Works well for my wife. Dgood distribution of wait across the sit bones and excellent cut away to avoid pain in the public area. Have now purchased a second seat for our stationary bike

A well constructed bike saddle which is a high quality product by Fizik. Tried the Tempo R5 at 160mm for better ride with a wide seat coverage just for my foldie bike. The saddle that came along with the foldie bike was narrow and ride feel was not that great. I have the Tempo R3 at 150mm on my road bike and only difference with the R5 is the cushion and weight. R3 has a soft cushion feel than R5 but not that prominent to the feel when riding and almost feels the same. Fizik Argo Tempo series, gave me more comfort especially on longer rides. Highly recommended saddle from beginners to pro riders.
