This is a great, easy to use, ball-marking tool. I have used several different styles of marking tools in the past (even tried the gatorade bottle cap ring idea), but this is the quickest, easiest way to draw a straight line on a ball. I'll update my review if it becomes faulty over time, but after the first dozen balls marked, this was definitely worth the price!

This device makes it easy to draw one, two or three lines on a golf ball. My only problem is that after using the supplied markers, the image on my golf balls quickly wore off. If you buy it, use Sharpies for more permanent lines.

Once you use a few times it is very easy and you can quickly make a dozen balls.

I liked the concept, however, in practice, was difficult to use. Two negatives. First, the device doesn’t spin around the ball easily as you try to mark a line. Second, the two pens have weak ink and smear easily. I bought more permanent markers to limit smearing of the colors.So, used it for some half dozen balls and put it up. I returned to the simple clamp on marking device.In my opinion, some additional tuning of the rotate feature would improve the device. Get rid of the pens; they smear under minimal moisture on fairways or greens.

The description says 3 lines I figured there was 3 lines going in the same direction like the picture shows. It only had a template for the 2 outside lines and one that was at a right angle to them. The slots were so narrow the marker barely fit through the holes. I tried to mark 2 balls and then threw it away. Junk. I bought one years ago at walmart that was made by softspikes that worked much better but it finally broke. I think I will go back to walmart to see if they still carry that one.

You have to practice the right amount of squeeze pressure. Too much and the stencil won't turn and too little the ball turns instead of the stencil giving you some swiggly lines.
