Up: Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack

Loved this movie, and the great music, had a lot to do with it. These are nice arrangements, a cut above the standard issue easy play sheet music, yet, very easy to learn,,esp Married Life( the music for this one, the best of them all, even exactly follows the "Married Life" cut on the soundtrack.) Some suitable for framing, color pictures in it, too,,,can't imagine, anyone not being pleased with this songbook,,,however, if you are used to "faking", relying on chord symbols and the melody line, most of them, dont have chord symbols,,,I sight read, playing piano at a restauraunt, for a living, so, I DO rely on chord symbols, fake a lot of stuff, but, these arrangements, are very easy to pick up on sight, without the chord symbols, reading both staffs, etc. Hardest part, is to keep it SIMPLE enough, NOT add in, any extra embellishments, the notations, about when to speed up, slow down, etc, are very good. Already starting, to wear this first book, out, using it at work, and thinking of getting another, to keep more "intact" as is a nice reminder of the movie, too.

It’s a great music book, some of the stretches for the chords I have a hard time getting but then again I only have an octave-1 stretch.

If you are an experienced piano music consumer then their inevitably have been times that you have bought music in hopes that it would sound identical to what you heard on the movie, CD, play, etc. and then you get it home and are completely disgusted at the over-simplified interpretation of the arrangement. That is NOT the case with this piano book. If the music isn't identical to the soundtrack of the movie then it is REALLY close. If you liked the music in the movie and are an intermediate/advanced piano player then you will LOVE this book!!!!!!!! The only bad thing I can say about the book is that the pages are glossy which causes a glare in some lighting situations and can make it hard to read the music which truly is annoying and I don't know why publishers do this to piano books. Other than that this book is perfect.

Whew, this songbook is a tough one. I was excited to get right into playing the Married Life song first, and found it quite challenging. Each song I tried was more difficult than the last one I tried. It got to a point where I was flipping for one song, any song I could play without a bunch of mistakes, and when that didn't happen, I put the book aside to try again later. Each time I have sat down to play, I have played one page or two, made numerous mistakes, then flipped to another song, handing it over to my daughter who has more experience, to play the songs so I can hear how they're supposed to sound, and even she struggled a bit, here and there.Don't get me wrong...I'm not upset that the songs are too difficult, rather, I'm challenged to learn them, because when played, as they are meant to be played, wow, they are amazing arrangements.This will be a keeper book for sure, but the songs I'll tackle line by line, when my patience is highest, until I can play them through, with ease, rather than frustration.

Good, easy to read sheet music. Sits flat on piano and easy to turn pages. All the favorite songs from the movie. Enjoying each time I play.

Arrived very quickly and the music is well written, relatively easy to learn for semi-advanced piano players

My daughter wanted Elle's Song sheet music so bad to learn on the piano and I had a terrible time finding it. I saw this on amazon and had to get it. I am so glad that I did. As soon as it came she went right to her piano to start to learn how the song but when she found out that not only did it have this song but all of the songs from the movie she was even more excited.

Sometimes film scores rendered to a book for amateur pianists do not sound nearly as pleasurable once they play the music themselves. First, I was enchanted with the film and its music, and I thought the score wonderful. So when the music became available to play for myself, I was again enchanted and very pleased. If you like movie music and like to play it on your piano, this book is really good.

I got it for one song for a pupil. All the songs were basically the same. The pupil loved the book.

I love the music from Up! and so decided I wanted to have a go myself. The pieces in it aren't that tricky, which is either good or bad depending on what you are looking for. I have taught myself piano and am probably about grade 4-5 ish, and found that I could play everything in there without too many problems, but it does mean that some of the pieces are lacking bits of the melody, and would probably not be suitable for serious "performance".
