im autistic + a very nervous shopper, so i usually spend ages researching before buying anything, especially at this price. i decided to take the risk. after nearly a month of daily use, i really didn’t expect to love this as much as i do. it feels like a small self-care upgrade. you use a bin constantly, having one that looks good AND works well makes more of a difference than i expected. Design & build: it looks great + feels thoughtfully designed. lightweight but very sturdy. the shape & size fit well in a tiny kitchen. i even use it as a temporary table at times. i also really like how smooth the surface feels. Lid: if you’ve got skirting boards, the lid won’t hit the wall at all. it functions smoothly + quietly (the video made it sounds louder than it actually is). thanks to the design, the lid doesn’t get messy the way swing bins do. i left mouldy food in for a few days and there was no smell unless the bin was opened, really impressive. Bin bags: no trouble replacing bags. normal large bin bags from local shops fit well + the inner bucket is easy to put back as long as the lid is kept open while doing it. anyone who had trouble with this must have been doing something wrong. overall, id happily buy more of these just for the sake of it lol. i think it would make a genuinely good gift too. this is actually my first ever amazon review, which probably says enough. if you’re on the fence, id say just go for it. its surprisingly satisfying!!

Went for the wooden look, nice size, smaller quantity than my two single bins but easier to take both out at the same time. Easy opener and closer.

Got this to replace a rather messy set of plastic boxes for paper and recycling stuff. The indivual bin sizes mean I won't have to cart the contents out more than once a week. Looks good and fits in well. The individual boxes are sturdy and easy to handle. The main carcass has an air of quality to it. One star down has nothing to do with the bin. This lot use DPD, rather than Amazon Logistics, to do the delivery - and this time they didn't exactly cover themselves with glory. The bin left Birmingham for Glasgow at the end of day 1 and ended up in London for a day. Hence a day late. Not a huge problem. It arrived in good condition and the local driver was very good - but beware of Amazon delivery predictions when the supplier uses another carrier.

I was tired of having two separate bins in the kitchen, so I bought this one, and it’s been great! The stainless steel looks nice (albeit it gets fingerprints quickly) and feels solid. The pedals work perfectly, and I love the soft-close lids; no more banging lids. Each side has a 30L capacity, which is sufficient for me. The inner buckets are easy to lift off and clean. There are only two downsides: one is that the bin is higher than expected, so above it must have enough space, and two, the plastic buckets could have been a bit sturdier. After a few weeks, I’m still happy with it. This makes it look neater than having two separate bins just sitting around, while also cutting down on hassle. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something stylish yet functional!

This is a serious bin. Very well made appears robust and looks great for a bin, which is hard to do. Keeps general waste and recycling separate but together. It is a lot of money for a bin but l have a feeling it will last and last. Huge plus, my labrador cannot get into it and its quite heavy so she can't send it flying with her tail Thats a result in itself. Very happy with it.

I have no idea why bins are so expensive...but this is certainly not the cheapest option. It looks nice, the pedal opening mechanism works well & the soft close feature is pleasing. Most importantly (for me) the "Songmics" branding is a sticker which can be easily peeled off and any sticky residue can be removed using isopropol alchohol.. without spoiling the finish/paint. Comes with stickers to remind people which compartment is for which waste. While its useful to have 2x separate compartments for regular household waste & recycling, I've not found any bin liners in my local supermarket that will fit this bin nicely. That said, there are options available on Amazon (but they are considerably more expensive than regular common-all-garden bin liners. Looks nice in the kitchen. Generally very happy with it (for a bin). Would I recommend it? If it's within budget? Yes! It does look great...but the ongoing cost of awkward sized bin liners is something that should be taken into account if you're considering this unit as an option.

Best waste bin I have ever had. Easy to keep clean and to empty, no unpleasant smell and looks nice . Good waste bags available to buy which fit perfectly. Very pleased with my purchase.
