You must watch the level of your tanks. No matter what setting the jet is positioned in it can and will overflow your toilet. This works but it is a 2 person job. Use caution and it’ll empty your black tank eventually.

My original “sewer solution” cracked at the clamp connection & I’ve since discovered from reviews that this is common. Mine cracked after only two campouts! I hated to spend this much to fix something that’s an obvious design flaw, but I’m giving it another chance because of the advantages of this system over the stinky slinky method of dumping sewage. My fingers are crossed!

Recently my $300. maceration pump broke down and I thought to try something different/cheaper. Just received Valterra SS04 today and have not tried yet. This type of device is used to grind neatly drain the effluent in your black water tank. The sewer hub in a home basement may be ideal.It may require taking off the clean-out cap to insert your hose. If you know nothing about plumbing ,I recommend you do not mess with it. SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP (a plumber).The item appears simple and durable.The name is somewhat deceptive, this IS NOT A PUMP. Even though it uses water pressure from a hose, you need SIPHON action for complete draining. Before you consider using one of these remember the old saw: "S**T always flows downhill." Therefore your dumping point MUST be lower than your holding tank. Des not come with any any hoses. You will need to install a back-flow valve on your garden hose. I suggest dedicating a special garden hose to this use. You will also need to purchase some clear plastic tube from the local hardware. You could also buy the full kit for $133. I hated carrying the large dirty big hose around and/or trying to find a sewer connection that is downhill from the motorhome. This unit eliminates these situations altogether. The hose supplied is 1 inch and very sanitary. The unit allows your sewer to go anywhere you place the hose including uphill. It is well designed and pretty much fool proof. I have been using this system for ten years with no negative incidents or sewer disasters. The best RV tool I have ever purchased. One thing to remember is this unit uses water pressure to function so when you attach it to your rig do not run the supply line for this unit through the water pressure regulator. Use full pressure. Try it you will love it.

This works great!!! I have a 5th wheel and my clean out drain is about 100ft away this made dumping a breeze at home just buy the water camco bandit for the output hose. Most of the bad reviews you see are from user error as I researched this product extensively.

I had a chance to use it once since installing it. It appears to be working properly. I have had the original set up for nine plus years, kept it clean and one day it just cracked, and finally split. I would consider no other way to empty the sewer system. Your product wins hands down.Sheryl K.

We purchased the Sewer Solution system about 1998 and have used it continuous for many years of traveling and Motorhome camping. This is the first part we ever had to replace. One of the tabs cracked one of the connector slots to the M/H dump fitting causing a drip. This may have been a problem others had as the new one is no longer clear plastic at that point but a heavier PVC. After 20 years of constant use I have no compliant. It is a fabulous system. No moving parts to break - it's clean - nothing to split unexpectedly like a "stinky slinky" - Only minor downside - it needs water pressure but a "Y" connector with on-off valves on the input water hose & a washing machine hose solves that. I also use quick connectors on all the water hose connections.
