Steve White's Art of Drumming: A Life Behind the Drums

I have seen Steve White play several times and he is one of the best at passing on his knowledge about drumming to us mere mortals! This book is a culmination of all his experience in well thought out and easy to follow format. The tips, exercises and transcriptions are invaluable to drummers wishing to progress; the whole book is thoroughly recommended!

This an excellent instructional book . Very clearly laid out for good structured practice .It is evident that Steve is very passionate about education.

Very useful and interesting book from one of the great drummers from any era.

Fantastic book of essential rudiments and great photos. I love this book and will be using it for years. My only gripe, which is purely with the publishers- Why Oh Why in 2020 are Hudson still producing books (with superlative content) in a form with an insanely stiff spine that won’t sit on any music stand? Tommy Igoe’s “Groove Essentials” has PERFECT ring binding for this very reason. Yes I know it’s more expensive, and I don’t mind that, as to use this book effectively I either have to break the spine or copy the page I’m using so it will stay on my music stand. Surely I’m not alone in wondering why they still produce books in a form REALLY hard to use in practise?
