Registering Issues Info Here - BC1880 Comparison
The media could not be loaded. REGISTERING:Having bought two kits, there was some trouble figuring out how to decipher the numbers and register them online. But before that, Brave Privacy Browser on an Verizon S22 Ultra had issues with the Bosch Site; Google Chrome will allow you to register the equipment. Now the Serial Numbers were supposed to be 9 digits long, but as you can see they are broken up and there are three groups of numbers scattered on the charger keeping you guessing. So see the attached pictures in my review. For the Charger, it's basically the 6 numbers under the QR Code, plus the 3 Numbers before the Character at the end of the 4 digit alphanumeric code to the right and above of the QR Code - again, just look at the picture. On the Battery it's much easier. It's the 9-digit number after the 4 digit alphanumeric code, and it can be found at the top of the battery just behind the red release button. Again can be seen in the pictures.CHARGING:After having charged three 8AH Core 18V Batteries, each on one of the following:BC1880Helion 160CHelion 160C with Powerboost enabled....I can say it's not what they claim with it being, what was it, 8x's faster. Maybe that's to a standard Bosch Charger (which I haven't used one since 2011); but it's honestly about 1.4x's faster than the original BC1880 Fast Charger (228W vs 162W), and with the Powerboost enabled 1.9x's faster (309W vs 162W).As far as times go - this is where it gets a bit odd with the 160C and Powerboost. Using Powerboost gets the 8AH battery to 50% in 17 minutes and done in 26 minutes "to 80%" and then shuts off! It doesn't cool off and restart and finish to 100%, it just shuts off at 80%?? Idk the reasoning behind this, but even at 45 degrees in the room and slightly warm to the touch, it's off even 15 minutes later and never restarted. Now without Powerboost, this other 160C unit charges up to 80% somewhere in around 34 minutes and then progressively slows down to around 50-55% of it's charging wattage (115W on average). I say on average because if you have a Kilawatt Inline Power Meter, it linearly slows down the input charging wattage as you reach 100%. But for the total charge time, it took 52 minutes. And compared to the BC1880, it's still chugging along respectably, and starts dialing down from the stabilized 180W at the 80% threshold in what it appears to be in around 44 minutes; and then continues on the last 20% till about 61 minutes have past till it completes the charge. Now putting the Powerboost charged battery back on it's Helion 160C Charger after sitting for 25 minutes made it run at fast charge at 224W for about 4 minutes on the last 20% and then slow down for the remaining 16 minutes, for a total of 20 minutes. Yeah, that's 20 whole more minutes!! Doesn't really make a whole lot of sense at first - but my assumption is that Powerboost just to throws a quick charge on the battery to be responsible enough to dodge overheating and overcharging the battery in the last 20% - something of a lithium battery issue for longevity that you can control in higher end Galaxy Cell Phone Settings and I know it pretty well also in the large 2kW EcoFlow Powerbank Batteries like the Delta 2 Units - in those it preserves their life cycle usage. So in that respect this makes sense I suppose. In Summary:BC1880to 80% in 44 minto 100% in 61 minHelion 160Cto 80% in 34 minto 100% in 52minHelion 160C w/Powerboostto 50% in 17 minto 80% in 26 minNote: takes another 20 min after coolingoff to top off the batteryNote: two of these batteries on the Helion 160C's have only 1 or 2 charge cycles on them, while the B1880C has about 6 charge cycles. These are relatively new, so these numbers should be highly accurate.

Bosch Quality
More time.More power=More work gets done!Just realize that this largest version of Bosch's 18 volt batteries will only fit in certain Brushless and/or PROFACTOR tools such as their Leaf Blower and certain Impact Drivers etc etc.But when it fits in the tool, it delivers more energy for more time. A fantastic addition to your Bosch collection!
