I bought this for my son who's just passed his test in December. The design is sleek and functional, fitting seamlessly into thr car's air vent without obstructing the airflow. The grip is secure, holding his phone firmly in place even on bumpy roads. The adjustable arms make it easy to accommodate different phone sizes, and the one-click release button allows for quick and effortless removal. Installation was straightforward, and the mount feels sturdy and well-made. The 360-degree rotation feature is a great bonus, providing flexibility in positioning the phone for optimal viewing. Overall, he loves it, and he hasn't complained so it's a big recommendation from me.

Great phone holder-easy to install and holds phone firmly. Plan to buy more for other vehicles in the near future. Price is little high however this thing is very well made.

The phone holder is advertised as military grade in the description on Amazon. The rear tightening clip on mine cracked after 11 months use. Amazon washed their hands of the problem, refusing to refund or replace. I contacted Vanmass Customer Service and they were straight up no problems, we'll send you a replacement. Communication with them was excellent and they sent a replacement clip and also a brand new phone holder unit. 5 Stars for Vanmass Customer Service. The phone holder itself is okay. The main unit that holds the phone is quite solid plastic with a carbon fibre effect. The rear clip is a problem (mine broke after 11 months), with the plastic being quite brittle. The plastic & rubber jaws that tighten into the car air vent would come loose after a month or so and require realignment and tightening. All in all it is an okay phone holder. I would give it 3 to 4 stars maximum.

Very easy to fit the holder onto the vent. The holder is very sturdy and whilst it’s a bit more expensive than other holders, I’m happy with this product and sure it will last for years ahead.

The holder comes with two clips. I used the one with parallel jaws. It took a couple of minutes to find a place in the vent where it would fit well, but once on it gripped well. Once attached, the angle of the holder can be adjusted in any direction sufficiently to see the phone without reflections on the screen. Putting a phone into the holder is really easy. just sit the phone on to holder and squeeze the jaws together. You can do it with one hand with or without the power lead attached. It works well with my iPhone (71 x 142mm in its cover) and my wife's larger Honor (76 x 155mm in its cover). The gap in the supports for the power lead is quite wide (17mm at the narrowest point) so it is easy to plug the power in while the phone is already attached. Once the phone is attached, it is nice and solid. Driving down a very bumpy track or over a big pothole makes the whole thing judder a little, but the phone or holder are certainly not going to come off. When the phone release button is pressed, the jaws open nice and smoothly (damped), not with a jerk. Carefully inspecting the parts shows it to be designed and made well with good quality materials. I suppose that is why it is more expensive than many other holders. Worth it though. Other reviews complain about the clip breaking. I suspect this is due to over tightening. Just tighten it enough to stay in place.

Good for horizontal car vents

This is my first review of a VANMASS phone holder but not the first I have purchased. The previous purchase was in 2022 and it is still doing a first-class job securing my phone to the air vent. Based on this experience when considering a holder for one of my other vehicles there was only one choice....VANMASS! Although it was only a couple of years since my last purchase this latest vent holder has certainly moved on with obvious improvements to the engineering and robustness. Not that any was needed based on my experience with the previous purchase but welcome, nevertheless. You get everything you need in the box, including pictorial fitting instructions which although useful are not really needed as fitting is an absolute doddle. Only one word of caution when fixing the clip to the vent tighten as necessary but don't overdo it as there is a risk that you could break the vent. It's unlikely but I have read instances where vent-fitted mounts have broken the louvres when overtightened. Once the clip has been fitted to the vent attach the phone holder which is held in place by a ball and socket arrangement, secured with a screw on plastic ferrule. The holder itself has an adjustable foot that you pull out according to the size of the phone. Mine is a Google Pixel 8 Pro with a case so it had to be at its fullest extent, but it fitted perfectly. Two wings secure the sides of the phone which open when you press the button on the side of the holder. Closing is straightforward by pressing the wings together so that they securely attach to the phone. Once in the phone is not going anywhere until you press the release button. It's only been a few days since I fitted mine but during that time, I have done a few miles over varying road surfaces, and the phone has not moved a jot, which is not a surprise as the other VANMASS vent holder I own has ALWAYS performed superbly.

I've had this phone mount for best part of a year and got to say it's been priceless. Build quality is solid and fitment of mount is super easy totally gonk proof! The phone I had when first bought was iPhone 12 and again no issues at all gripped phone securely and mount didn't move at all, but I've now upgraded my phone to a Google pixel 9 XL (a big phone, I know) the mount grips and hold my Google spot on phone is solid but every now and then I do need to loosen the mount on my vent and re-secure as the mount starts to bounce up and down. But this doesn't bother at all though cause the pros of this mount totally out way that little con because with my previous phone this never happened, so I am putting down to due to the size of my Google which I can live with! Highly recommend this mount!
