Camp is a favorite
If you go to Scotland or England, you may have trouble finding Camp. I finally found some at a grocery in Rye, England. I was very pleased to find it at Amazon. I used to drink Postum, until they discontinued making it. Because the Mormons were big fans of Postum, some got the rights to the formula and name, and started producing it. I bought some. It did not dissolve as well as the original, but was still pretty good.I was familiar with Camp, and decided to get some when in England. Since it is liquid, it dissolves easily. The directions say to put it in warm milk, which you can. But, I just mix it with hot water and half and half. It tastes almost identical to Postum.I thought they had sent me smaller bottles than what I had been getting. They are no longer glass, but plastic. And indeed, they are still 241 ml.I don't care for decaf coffee, so Camp is what I drink in the evening.

A Sip of Scotland!
One hot and sunny afternoon in South Florida my Scottish husband began reminiscing about something he called “can coffee” that he drank as a child. It sounded amazing!Turns out his accent was heavy that day, it was Camp Coffee of which he spoke!I said, I’ll bet Amazon has it- and a few clicks later a bottle was on the way. Now, my husband claims people either love it or hate it. But a few spoonfuls in a mug of either hot or cold milk are so deliciously wonderful, I can’t imagine anyone not liking this as much as I do, and our daughter agrees. Now I want to know what other Scottish delights he’s been keeping secret all these years. 😉Try it—I know you’ll like it too!

Great for baking!
The quality is great as well as the taste. I use this when making coffee flavor sponge cakes. The flavor is not over powering, just right.

Great for baking!
I use this mostly for baking, it's so much better than regular coffee essence.

Came damaged
Sadly the top and safety seal were broken and the contents leaked all over and into the envelope

Flavor!
Camp Chicory and Coffee Essence will add great coffee flavor to your baked goods. I think it takes pretty decent by itself with milk, but it really shines in baked goods.I've used instant espresso dissolved in water for coffee flavor, and essence can also have a somewhat artificial flavor; this however, doesn't taste artificial and adds a coffee flavor that is noticeable, but not overpowering.

Like adult cocoa with coffee!
I read the British troops used to drink this in WWII so when I saw it for sale, just had to get some. It’s delightful, perks you up, and so easy to spoon into your cup at work. No muss, no fuss👍

Delicious, a taste of nostalgia
I used to love Camp when I was a child in the UK. I'm happy to say that it's as delicious as I remember it (even if the artwork on the label has been tweaked a little for these more "sensitive" times). A tablespoon or so stirred into a glass of ice-cold milk is pure nostalgia. The good news is that having introduced my American wife to it she is hooked too!
