Great floaty
Works great! Our guy was just still a little too small last summer so this summer it should be the perfect fit

Toddler swim vest
Absolutely love thisMy grandson is 6 and tiny, about the size of a 4 year old and it fits him perfectly and will be able to use it for awhile as it can be let out.The fasteners are very secure, 2 points to push to releaseDries out fast and no smellKeeps his head above water as he figures out how to maneuver and get the hang of floating.( I will add that he is Autistic and has tubes in his ears so he can not go under water right now)We feel this vest is best for his safety until he learns to swim, or at least stay afloat without a vest as Autistic children tend to be drawn to water and could lead to fatal outcome. He can not slip out of this vest eitherI highly recommend this to every parent

A must for summer fun
This swim vest has been fantastic for my 3.5yo son (4’4” and 34lbs for reference). It has helped us get him used to water and build a positive relationship with water, keeping him safe and comfortable. The childproof buckle on this swim vest is also a huge benefit - as, while our eyes are always on my son while near water, knowing he or a friend can’t take the vest off themselves is a necessary comfort.I recommend this vest for children 2 and up, until they properly learn how to swim on their own. Now that he’s in swim lessons his confidence in the water makes life easier thanks to how much time he’s spent in pools already with the vest. Also, for $25 this is a STEAL. We’ve used it multiple times every weekend and it shows no sign of wear and tear. 10/10 recommend.

Ended up with a Neighbor's Kid- Cute Story
We bought this for our son (who can swim lol) but refuses to go underwater. He prefers to wear this so he can float about in the pool. This summer he began to wear it less, to fit in with his cousins and kids that he would meet at our condo community pool. And one day a little kiddo came to visit his aunt and being curious he looked into a bag of water toys. He pulled out the floatie vest and wanted to wear it. Before I could let them mom know it was fine, my son buckled the back for him and walked him to the edge and asked if he wanted to jump in with him. (Proud mama moment) He was nervous but jumped with my son to pop out the water with a load of giggles. He spent the rest of the day at the pool with my son and a few other kids, vest on the entire time. When they were leaving, the mom and aunt said that he had great day and that he is not a fan of the water, but my son made him so comfortable he forgot all about it. And when they were handing back the vest, I could tell it bummed him out. So, I had my son run it back to the little boy for him to keep. They hugged and waved goodbye. We saw them a couple more time this summer and he was rockin the floatie vest every time. The vest is well made, durable, keeps child above the water and balanced and even formed a friendship.10 STARS!

Too big
I ordered this for my 2 year old to have in our pool. We had the original puddle jumper by Stearns. The stearns one was too big so I bought this one based on others reviews of how this one "fit smaller kids great."Attached is a picture of this brand next to our stearns puddle jumper (the whale one). You can tell the stearns one is actually smaller by about 2 inches. The other picture shows them both at their smallest setting and the stearns is smaller. This brand seems very cheaply made. The fabric is very loose (as seen in pictures) and likely wouldn't last a summer in a chlorinated pool. The inside just feels like Styrofoam. I will be returning this and sticking with stearns brand. I was really hopeful it would be smaller. The straps do not help it stay better like I thought it would. Those are insignificant in helping these types of floating devices.

Smaller then some brands which is exactly what i needed
I have a 1.5 year old who loves water and jumps in without hesitation. He is on the smaller side (barely going into 18 month clothes, 21 lbs) and nothing else I found fit him . Anything for smaller or younger kids he was to advanced for and either could get out or they frustrated him as he couldn't swim properly. After one lake day he learned how to use this quickly and swims well. I have it as tight as I can and it's a tad loose but he cannot get out. Very pleased
