Works on a 20hp Vtwin
I bought it because the local store wanted a hundred bucks for a starter. Much cheaper here and had to wait the same amount of time for it. Works well.

I haven’t had a chance to use it much, but it started up just fine. If it last twenty years like the original one that would be awesome, I’m not holding my breathe or thing it just they don’t make things like they use to.

Good price, minor issues
Strong starter, almost perfect fit for Craftsman Tractor model 917270812. Great deal for price compared to OEM.Issue - the fly wheel which should rise up to engage the engine when starter is engaged, only rises up about 75% of the time (red highlight). I can't replicate the issue to determine the cause, just seems random.Work around - I crimped the end of a small metal yard stake which will fit in the small hole (blue hightlight) and allow me to move flywheel / spring on top of starter. This will usually allow flywheel to engage engine the next attempt at starting.
