Great for Amtgard
quality product, lends itself to breaking down and re-assembly on a weekly basis.

Shoots well but not the best finish.
I bought 2 of these bows. One 35lb and one is 22 lbs. The 35 lb came with just the riser, limb and string. The box was partially damage from shipping. The arrow rest was gone. The 22 lb bow came complete. Other than that, you'll need a stringer to string the bow. You'll also need to nock it, and the nock are not included. It shoots well for a $110 bow. As expected. It's a beginner's bow and I think it's not bad shooting at all. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because I also bought the SinoArt bow for comparison. I think the SinoArt is the better value. First, the finish is better. The SAS bow is pictured above. Casting marks are very visible and the paint is uneven. No effect on function, but next to the SinoArt, this SAS looks crude. Also the SinoArit comes complete with everything you'd need to start for only $10 more. If you're in the market for a starter recurve, you may find the SinoArt the better made bow and the better value package.

Good quality bow for the price
I really like this bow. I've shot archery for years and a bow is like a bicycle or base ball glove-- it needs to fit the user. I've owned several bows in my life. This one just fits and works well. The accuracy is fine and the shooting smooth. It's not as heavy as other metal-riser bows I've used and the grip is comfortable (no sharp edges cutting into the palm). Quite pleased with the purchase. The accessories are icing on the cake.

It looked like this one might last longer because it primarily metal
It looked like this one might last longer because it primarily metal. Now that I got it I doubt that. The metal section looks like it would last 100 years but the wood pieces that screw on the ends looks like cheap wood. They will probably need replaced eventually. I have an old bow from the 1950s but it cracked from leaving it strung for years on end. So if you leave the string on these things eventually they will crack. On the other hand being able to take it apart is cool because it fits in a really small box. It is easy to store and travel with and is lightweight. The string seems a lot longer than the bow and I have no idea how to string it so I will have to take it to an archery shop. The overall look is nice but looks like a child's toy where my old bow looks like something an Indian uses in a movie. I guess there are pros and cons getting a take down bow as opposed to a traditional one piece wood bow. Overall I'm happy with the purchase though.

This is a great bow. High quality, really well-made. I bought it for my 14-year old daughter and she loves it.

Good value for the money.
A great introductory bow. It shoots better than I do. Amazon says I need to write 10 more words. What is this: an English composition class?

So far so good. My 11-yr-old has been shooting sticks down range for the last year and this bow replaced his introductory 12-lb recurve. The string was very poor quality. It ripped at one end while trying to string it. (Yes, we used a steinger). Fortunately, the replacement string has been a great addition and we purchased it in blue, which compliments the bow's look.
