You can rest assured with this power supply.
I bought the EVGA P2 1200w. I wish amazon would limit the reviews to the specific product because a defect can be limited to one specific product but not another one. EDIT 10/20/2018 This power supply has been running for 25 months with no problems whatsoever. The system has been upgraded throughout the year and now it has 2x EVGA GTX 1080ti cards in SLI along with upgrading to a Core i7-7820x with the Rampage VI Apex. The system also has a custom loop that's cooling the CPU. One of the biggest selling points I can think of is this P2 power supply appears on the Tom's Hardware Teir 1 list, but the G2 series is also on the teir 1 list. After doing a bit more research I found the P2 models have better caps than the G2 versions. One selling point I found impressive is this P2 power supply holds up very well at 50c. You're also getting nearly 1200w on the +12v rail alone, not counting the +5v and the +3.3v rails. There is no guesswork when it comes to this power supply. Just make sure you register this within 30 days. Once you do then you'll get EVGA's legendary warranty service and the 10 year warranty on this power supply. Although, I've had to RMA power supplies back to both Corsair and Seasonic and those warranty processes were very easy with no hassle. Also with those 2 brands I wasn't required to register the product. Once you register the product with EVGA, you can upload the invoice just in case. If you do require an RMA then you will already have this step taken care of. You can also pay for an advanced RMA at any time. I did this with a GTX 590 I bought when EVGA had lifetime warranties on their products. 5 years later the card went out and half the RMA process was already taken care of. It's certainly one of the nicest looking power supplies I've ever bought. The powder coating is tough so I don't have to worry about it flaking off or getting scratched. The setup I'm running has a Core i7-4930k overclocked with a custom loop on a Rampage Extreme IV motherboard. I had a GTX 670 SLI setup going before getting a good price on a couple 8gb RX 480 cards. I bought a 3rd 8gb RX 480 card for my brothers PC, but I couldn't resist the urge to run the 480's in 3-way crossfire just to see what would happen. The results weren't impressive but at least the power supply held up fine. The reason I've always bought such large power supplies is I used to know people who built test systems for a well known gaming company. They would turn around and sell the graphics cards at cost or sometimes below cost. They got out of the business and my gravy train ended but it was fun to pay next to nothing for these high end cards, benchmark them, test them in games, then turn around and sell them while taking no loss at all.

Powerful and foolproof power supply
I am not usually one to review products, but this one deserves to be highlighted for its safety features. As I was installing it, I foolishly tried to save a little time by reusing the cables from my previous power supply (EVGA 750 GQ) because I figured, same manufacturer, they fit, why not? Well, when the computer would not turn on (after many attempts), I actually did a little research and found that some power supplies might have destroyed anything that was plugged into it that was not using the right cable. Thankfully, I was lucky to have this premium power supply that simply would not work when plugged in with the wrong cables, but did not damage any of my components despite the dangerous mistake I made. So, I replaced the cables with the correct ones and it has been powering my main machine ever since without a hitch. It is worth the extra money to go with a premium power supply - this one has proven itself for sure.

Phenomenal power delivery. stable, great cables. silent af.
This is not my first EVGA product, I bought this because of my previous experience over Corsair. 1200w of unadulterated, insanely stable power. I get that people are all "You only need 800w pfft" Here's the thing, though. If you go with something a bit bigger, and you only ever need 70-80% of it, it will mostly run completely silent, and if you add a GPU or what not, you aren't in the whole for a new power supply, and you haven't been running your HW "lean" power wise, which can absolutely damage the components over time, stressing them for no reason. Not only does this thing absolutely deliver on what my 9900k (OC) and 2080 Demand, but there is room to grow if I so choose. A lot of amateur and new builders make the mistake of going super cheap on the power supply, and throwing all of their money at a nice processor or video card. Then, when the PSU fails and takes that expensive component down with it, how much did you really save in the end? I absolutely recommend this amazing EVGA product, and implore you to check out their catalog of products. From PSU's to Video Cards to Motherboards and others, I have used EVGA products in almost every system build I have done in the last 15 years. The customer service is unparalleled by any other company, and they always have the best cooling solutions for their components. Cant go wrong.

First modular supply I've used. The setup is simple, wire management is extremely easy to do since you can handle things one wire at a time. Fan is absolutely silent and I really don't even have to think about this component. Finish is great and the supplied cords (so many varied cords were supplied) were all braided and look great in the case.
