I was very disappointed in this autobiography of C. H. Spurgeon. All my life I've heard so many quotes from Spurgeon.First I was disappointed in the content. Spurgeon's language is overly descriptive. What should take several paragraphs is described with so many metaphors and repetition and flowery language that many chapters are given to describing the angst he experienced before conversion. Then many more chapters describe his euphoria post-conversion. He is critical of other preachers and comes across as arrogant.Secondly, it looks like the book was scanned with Optical Character Recognition and printed without an editor. The lines break midway through and are continued on the next line. Paragraphs are not indented.
