Works great for my Autistic son
This is a great way to learn shapes, numbers, and colors. My son just started becoming really interested in numbers and he loves this so much that he will ask to play with it. Visually it's very bright and fun, so he loves it.I love that there are enough shapes for a few extra if you lose some. Just don't lose any hearts or diamonds because you'll be out of luck. There are even enough shapes to do the first five all at once before dumping them out and turning them over to do 6 through 10.The box, as others have said, is only cardboard and won't last forever. I usually expect better from Melissa and Doug, but so far it's staying together.

Cute idea, poor execution
I love Melissa and Doug products but this one fell short. There are a ton of small pieces yet it doesn’t come with any type of container with a lid to keep them in. Pieces end up scattered everywhere.

Good educational toy
This toy is very interesting for my child. The packaging is great, the delivery is fast and the price is reasonable.

No matching color buttons
It's quite irritating that the buttons don't match with the colors on the board. I tried to play with my daughter and match just shapes without color consideration. However, my daughter said to me I was not doing it right because the colors didn't match, so she removed the buttons from the boards. What's the surprise - there were no right shape+color buttons. Returning.

Button Game a big hit!
I am a preschool teacher for 3,4 and 5 year olds and this has been a big hit in the classroom? They spend a lot of time playing with this activity and I am thrilled to see the way they gave used there imagination to expand the capabilities as to how to use the game. I love that Melissa and Doug always include a sheet of suggestions of other ways to use their toys to teach various concepts and make them more useful in the classroom. They are always durable and long lasting.

Not worth it!
Missing pieces and hard for little fingers because the buttons do not fit well in the boards. Find something else!

Great Preschool Activity, A Couple Of Changes
My preschoolers love this activity! The wooden boards are cute and durable, and they provide the opportunity for the development of multiple math skills as well as fine motor muscles. There are two things I would change. The number cards that come with the game are made of layered cardboard, so several of them have frayed and pulled apart. Considering the age level for which it is intended, they should have been made with something sturdier like plastic or the same type of wood as the game boards. It also would have been a more functional design if it had come in a box that the game could be stored in rather than an open-top box. I would still absolutely recommend this for the preschool level.
