A Walk to Remember

I am an avid reader. Been reading since grade school and I’m 58! This book was so amazing. What a beautiful story of forgiveness and how a Godly, gentle, quiet spirit can make a difference in so many lives. What a legacy!

Excellent book...tear jerker

Good book

Nicholas Sparks has done it again. I've only read two of his books, but both of them broke my heart. I faintly remember watching the film with my mom when I was little, so I really wanted to read the book. I knew it would be an emotional ride, but I still wasn't expecting to cry as much as I did. Landon was frustrating at first. I hated how unnecessarily mean he was to Jamie, and he just felt like a bland character. However, as he started falling in love with her, he became less obnoxious to me. He could still be cruel, but it didn't happen nearly as often as it had in the beginning. Throughout the entire novel, I loved Jamie. She was such a strong character, which I think is always important. She went through hell, and despite it all, she stayed positive. I can't even imagine going through half of what she dealt with, let alone all of it simultaneously. I love that Nicholas wrote it from Landon's perspective. To me, that gives the story more depth and makes it more enjoyable. It added to the general emotions of the story and made it overall more heartbreaking. I don't think I have any complaints about this book. It was brilliantly written, and it sucked me in from the first page. It was the perfect mix of romantic and sad. If you haven't read this book yet and want to read something that'll put you on an emotional roller-coaster, I highly recommend you read this book. Even if you've already read it, I still recommend it.

I have watched every single movie based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. This is the first time a read an actual Nicholas sparks Novel. A walk to remember was the first movie i watch. This Book was so much more. I absolutely love it! 💕💕💕

I know that people always say that the movie is different from the book. And most will also say that the book is better than the movie. I usually agree, but this book was an exception. In fact, I think it's the only book/movie combo where I've actually liked the movie more. Nicholas Sparks is an amazing author. His books are easy to read, yet the stories pull you in. The thing that I just could not get over with this book was how different it is from the movie. I watched "A Walk to Remember" when it first came out, and since then it's been, hands down, my favorite movie. I love everything about it. So I just knew that I would love the book...but when I started reading the book, it was completely different. It's set in a different era; Landon isn't a "bad boy", Jamie's father wrote the play and Landon volunteered to be in it; they didn't have all of the sweet dates that helped her accomplish things on "her list"; Landon's parents were still together; and on and on and on. It was a COMPLETELY different book. The over-all moral of the story was the same, but practically all of the details were different. That being said, I probably would have loved the book and hated the movie if I read it first. The actual book wasn't bad--it was just too different in my opinion. Since I've loved the movie for so long, the book wasn't what I thought it would be. However, I have a really good friend who loved the book before she saw that movie and she feels completely opposite. To sum all of this up: If you love the movie, know that the book is completely different before you start it or you'll be disappointed. If you haven't seen the movie, read the book because it really is well-written.

Every book Sparks writes is wonderful. He makes you feel so much. I have never read a bad one yet, that doesn't make me feel great. Thank you so much for wonderful stories that keep me waiting for more.

Partiamo dal presupposto che non sono una grande fan di questo genere di libri, ma devo dire che ne sono rimasta affascinata. L'ho comprato solo per cercare di migliorare il mio inglese e invece si è rivelato essere un vero affare; parla dell'amore in un modo diverso dal solito, non è assolutamente banale, l'ho adorato fun da subito, e di tanto in tanto lo riapro per rileggerne qualche frase. Per quanto riguarda questo libro in particolare sono più che soddisfatta, è un edizione tascabile con pagine che sembra siano riciclate, ma le adoro comunque!

Sorry, but I'm not that happy with my book. I was excited to read this. I wasn't just expecting it to be so small, it was literally the size of my palm. Not worth the price, i think this isn't the original size of the book considering it's a bit pricey.

I shed tears whenever I read this book. Excellent, moving!
