Berne Women's Softstone Duck Barn Coat

My wife is 5'7, about 160 pounds. The XL fits very well, with room for a shirt and sweatshirt underneath. Very well made. Highly recommend.

This is a good work coat. The length is just right. It won’t expose you if you reach for something, and it’s not long enough to be cumbersome. The sleeves are a bit long, but not long enough to be a problem. It is a bit snigger around the middle than I’d prefer, but not so tight that it inhibits motion. If I’m doubt, go a size larger. It is lined in flannel so it’s not advisable for welding or flame cutting, but the canvas putter is durable and will last a while. I am overall happy with this coat. ( 5’5’, 260, bought size 3x. Fits a little snug. 4x may have been better)

I purchased this in a size larger than I technically required, knowing that I would be wearing the Berne hoodie underneath it during extra cold weather. It's great during this first Nor'Easter of 2023. The sleeves are just a little long on me, but like I said, I ordered a size too large on purpose, so that's to be expected. The large assortment of pockets comes in super handy, too!

This is a great coat, it’s clear things were well thought out like pockets and gusset around arm pits and shoulders to allow movement. However, tried two sizes and the sleeves are very long, even rolled up, and the chest is surprisingly tight. I don’t have a large chest and both sizes were pretty “flattening,” and made it tighter if putting your arms back to reach for pants pocket, etc. There is also a dart at the top of the shoulders that almost pulls down or puts pressure on your shoulders but you get used to it. With all that said. The benefits far outweigh those things. And Berne has a great return policy, even when ordering directly. I haven’t had the chance to wear it in extremely cold temperatures yet, hoping it will be warm like the leading competing brand. It’s definitely less stiff than those coats!

I work outside in all types of weather, so I wanted a really good, sturdy jacket to have for the winter. I finally settled this one, and I have been wearing it all winter long and loving it!It's nice and thick with enough room to wear extra layers of clothes (I like to wear a hoodie underneath, and it fits comfortably still).Lots of pockets everywhere you could need a pocket. I have long arms, and the sleeves are long enough and can fold up too if they are too long for you. Cute plaid pattern on the inside, so if you do fold them up, it looks nice.I and 5'9, 125lbs and usually wear a small but got a medium after reading some reviews that made me think I should maybe size up. The medium was a little too bulky and too much material, so I exchanged for a small, and the small has been perfect.

Beautiful coat! I am sure it will keep you warm and comfortable. The color plum is very nice accented with the plaid lining. Very well made!
