I have multiple translations of the Tao and each one is unique and wonderful, but this is my favorite. I love everything about this book, from the introduction and historic context, to the beautiful calligraphy and journal space. The translations are modern, but not so far out of joint that the meaning is watered down. A great balance of ancient wisdom and modern context.

I love this version...does anyone know if a digitized version is available or exists?

This version of the Tao is beautifully illustrated, with interesting explanations of the illustrations and Chinese characters. It is a clear and lovely translation, though I can't vouch for its accuracy, not being a Tao scholar. I especially like the section that groups Tao chapters by primary relevance: Leadership, Power, etc.

Some of the profound meaning is lost in this new translation. the commentary provided is really surface in nature. I really don't like the use of the term "evolved individual" in the place of "enlightened". I am going to purchase a different translation.

Easy to understand translation.

I bought this book not knowig what to expect. I just did a lookup on Leadership and it came up. Then I thought, what not.What I found was the Tao! A philosophy that is life changing; I recommended this wonderful translation by R.L. Wing to anyone who wants to see truth. It is the best translation that I have read of the Tao Te Ch'ing.

R.L.Wing's research into the translation of this classic is far more enlightening than any other I've come across. I hope to come across more 'new' books or that they republish it, since this book makes for a great gift.

The book was in excellent condition when I got it and the packaging was good.Very insightful book, definitely worth the money.

This is a great translation/interpretation of the Tao Te Ching as it's translated/interpreted by the same person and the translations are in verse with the interpretations underneath, alongside the Chinese script. It's pretty straight to the point without tonnes of embellishments as some translations can be.At the beginning of the book it also has some great explanations of the Tao of Power etc and various mind approaches.I'm not a Taoist, but enjoy dipping in and out of this version.

The book was in great condition, the Sellar responded quickly to any enquiries I had.Cant wait to dive in, love the fact it is translated alongside the original text for comparison.

Standard size but an excellent bedside staple alongside Ursula le Guin's version and I ching. Provides more of an overview.

The content of this book might be very interesting but the book itself is in abysmal condition. I thought its new but its not even Grade C. Basically rotten paper to throw away. what a scam!
