Perfect for retro/older consoles. It comes just as it is in a box, now wires. You will need a Male Red White Yellow cable. Does not use an external power supply like a lot of HDMI switchers. I got the cheapest cable also from amazon and works fine, haven't noticed and degrade in picture/sound. I only have one console on at a time, and there is individual switches for each one. So I have Original Playstation in number 1, PSOne in 2, PS2 in 3...and so on. So if I wanted to play the PS2, I would change the channel to 3 (on my set up). If you are reading this review, you must have been looking into a switcher, so you might as well get this. Its cheap but very good, solid quality for the price.

its capacity for inputs. Also it's simplicity of use. The price is well worth it, for the above reasons. Excellent product.

I have 3 of these and had to modify each one to ensure the case was grounded correctly. This is probably why many of the reviews here mention a humming noise. Once grounded, they work perfectly fine. I'm using 2 of the units to switch in/out to number of tape decks and they work really well. Knocked off a star for the grounding issue.

Its a great little device that currently sits under my TV. As someone who owns, and still plays alot of the older consoles, this device is ideal for connecting them up without having to constantly reach around the back and change the input. Before this, I used a 5-port scart adaptor that ruined the sound and picture quality. This device is completely different. Everything is as clear as it always was, and the sound is great. (Just note that it does not come with any cables. So you may need to purchase a RCA to scart cable to run from the device to your TV, if you don't have one).

I bought one of these to run several retro games consoles into my TV without having to mess around with cables every time. On arrival the device I was concerned because when holding it it feels and looks quite cheap (which is to be expected for the price) however once I had it set up it worked perfectly fine and I've been using it since without a single issue, changing channel with the buttons is instant and with no loss in quality from what I can tell so far. Additionally I was surprised how small it is (dimensions are in the description but I'd neglected to read fully) and I was able to set it up somewhere out of the way so it didn't impede on space I wanted to use for other things.

Theres a lot of these on the market and with a load of old consoles to hook up to my TV, this 8-way splitter seemed a decent bet rather than have two sets. The build quality isnt the greatest and you will be skeptical that it will work - but work it does. The buttons have a cheap feel to them too. I can get sound on 7 from the 8 ports, the latter is picture only. Still, its much easier than swapping consoles in and out and you can hook up a decent amount for not a lot of cash.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Semplice e affidabile, non necessita di alimentazione in quanto è un dispositivo meccanico. L'ho usato per collegare sullo stesso monitor diverse console anni 80/90 e funziona perfettamente.

I am using the switcher to switch audio and video signals for retro and modern systems. Signals come through clear, without obvious distortions. Internally it uses basic mechanical switches, with only one input active at a given time. Styling of the device is very retro as well, giving it a 1980s look that fits well for what I use it for. The enclosure seems to be made out of metal, but pretty thin, so don't count on putting anything heavy on it. That will likely cause the top to flex. On the bottom there are four metal points that act as feet. I put some ~1cm task plastic feet next to them to not scratch up the table.
