I've been using them for many years, great when doing cylinderhead jobs or engine rebuild. The come in 2 different grid / abrasiveness, use the soft one (reddish) on aluminum the brown one on steel

Great pads for stripping paint off classic cars!
Excellent pads for stripping paint off metal. I restore classic cars for my hobby and these work great for removing the old layers of paint and light rust without putting a lot of heat in the body sheet metal. Really like them!

Works very well on oxidized and heavily pitted aluminum end dump trailer prebuffing/polishing prep. Sands like 200-400 grit depending on pressure applied.

Not the right size. Box mislabeled!
I did not notice this mistake for a couple months until I went to open the box. It says 4.5” but actually 4”. Now I can’t return it.

Does the job at removing mill scale from steel.
Wear your protective gear. These pads work well for cleaning the mill scale from steel before I make new furniture. Last longer than I thought they would.
