Nothing like another great 80's movie
This is a very good movie. Great story. Wanted a Bluray since I watch it time to time. Quality of dvd was good.

Louis Gossett Jr's performance in this movie is priceless. My wife and I quote him a lot when goofing around with each other. The story itself is absorbing, with great, solid acting by the entire cast, and several jarring and uplifting scenes you'll never forget. A highly recommended film.

Great older movie that is still a classic
This movie was the start for several stars and I always enjoy the story. The movie I believe shows it like it was and probably still is.

R chard Gere at his best
I remember thinking how good both Richard Gere and Debra Winger are in this movie and was wondering why it was not on blu ray sadly the female co-star in the film passed away unnoticed after a lengthy illness . It's a very good film I'm glad it's finally about to arrive as they say IT!'S BETTER LATE THAN NEVER . Thanks PARAMOUNT FOR REALIZING THAT WE OF THE OLDER GENERATION GO FOR THE FILMS FROM THE LATE 1950s through the 80s ( BUT THEY HAVE TO BE DAMN GOOD MOVIES ) THANKS M T L

Great film - multiple themes of romance and overcoming hardship
This is a great movie and this Blu Ray version had many special videos that you can watch after the movie. Debra Winger is not in the special videos but many of the other actors are. They go behind the scenes and explain how shots were composed and decided. Debra Winger hasn't acted in a while but she is on a new series called The Ranch with Sam Elliott. She hasn't lost her touch. This movie is a classic and is one to add to your home collection.

This is a movie about a man who finds himself, a purpose in life , and love. A great movie one of my favorites!

中学生の時に担任の先生が観せてくれた作品で、この作品でリチャード・ギアを初めて知りました。 思い出の作品をいつでも観れるようにしておきたくて買いました。 きっと楽しめると思いますし、内容はまさにタイトル通りと言ったところでしょうか。 作品、テーマ曲共に大好きです。

Il film non ha bisogno di nessuna presentazione, ha fatto epoca. Dispiace per l'audio Dolby solo due canali, un po' misero per un blu ray.
