Great smell
I love the scent, its kind of a woodsy scent. I like that it lasts longer than most colognes, and for the price its excellent. It rivals some of the more expensive colognes out there. I would buy this again and again. My wife likes the way it smells also..

You won't be disappointed.
This cologne is classified as Oriental-Woody but I believe it starts with a powder scent that fades pretty quickly. After the powder scent dissipates it really turns to an extremely pleasant scent. I would say it's appropriate for all seasons and all occasions. It has great longevity and also great sillage (trail of the scent). Very good purchase.

Not bad, But not what I expected
I enjoy oud based perfume oils/cologne. I was disappointed with this particular Black is Black. The scent is not offensive, but I find it more of a feminine scent than masculine. The first note that hits is more of a bath powdery scent. Some reviewers say, 'baby powder', and I would agree. I was hoping the powder scent would dissipate quickly and move into a woody scent, which I was expecting, but never came. In fact, the baby powder scent lingered for a long time. I would not wear this out, due to its 'girly' scent. It was not expensive, paying little for it. I purchased with the hopes of finding, "the one" to live with. I do find for a few more cents, that Franck Olliver has some nice offerings. For a low cost woodsy oud cologne, I would look there

Nice but very short lived.
Good but it's longevity is poor - at least in conjunction with my body chemistry. I can pull about an hour out of it, if even that long. But for others it may be very well worth it in that respect. The scent if rather abrupt initially but settles down fairly quickly and is overall very appealing. If only it were capable of maintaining itself more - at least six hours.
