HigginsSunburst Gourmet Food Mix for Guinea Pigs, 3 Pound

My young cavies love it. There are lots of pellets, which is good because that should be the main diet, and there are plenty of seeds, fruit and other mix ins that the piggies love to hunt for in their bowl. They run screaming for the bowl once it's poured and will holler at me whenever the bowl gets below halfway. Beyond romaine lettuce, this is their favorite. My two girls do a good job of eating it all in balance, although the dried banana is not their favorite, but then I don't spoil them anymore than I spoil my dog. They get everything in balance with the priority being the main, healthy diet and treats staying treats.

My 7 year old guinea has loved this since tasting it 7 years ago. I ran out of it today (only the 2nd time in his life) & he is crushed, running to the spot where his cereal bowl is, looking where I put it in his hay for him to forage. He is devastated. He doesn't understand esp. the post office slow down (or his food would be here). Needless to say he loves it. The chunky fruit portions & the pea flakes etc...make this a win, win for him & his wife loves it too.

My little guy loves these treats. Their very safe for your hamster and gives them the nutrients they need

I got this food at Petco when I first purchased my guinea pigs and they were picky as youngsters and picked the pellets out of the fruit and extras. I always wanted to try it again now that they’re older so to avoid Walmart, I got it as a special treat for them. Now they’re almost 3 and they pick out all the good stuff and leave the pellets ironically lol they dig in the bowl for it and make a huge mess so I probably won’t purchase it again as so much went to waste when sweeping up their cage. Still, it had has lot of good stuff in it so I’d still recommend it but they didn’t seem to fancy the pellets as much.

Ive used this food for my little Taz (Syrian) and he has loved this mix. i mix this with some meal worms and other seeds and he has loved it and eats everything thats there

He loves this. Especially the little sticks in the mix. He will run and hide with them so he can eat them alone and doesn’t have to share (because apparently he thinks I’ll steal it). He throws an actual temper tantrum when I try to give him any other food.

Normally this is one of my favorite foods or pellets to give my Guinea pigs however the bag was more than half dust I actually had to sift the pellets from the dust before I fed my pets. I bought three 3 pound bags and all were like this. It is normal to have certain level of dust or grounded pellets within the bag but to be half the half bag is ridiculous.
